Mastering Taxi mode means to transport 50 people. It does not have to be in one run, but if you have time for it, I suggest to do so since you get nice payoff for every 5 people transported in one run ($500 for 5 people, $1000 for 10, $1500 for 15 etc.)

As LewisNoobBuster suggested, watch out for the damage of your taxi. On the other hand, it's not so bad since after several fares you'll have enough time to make a little detour to Pay N' Spray :)

After the 50 fares all taxis gain unlimited nitrous. And with all the bonuses you will have more than enough money to spend $6,969 on clothes, hair, and tattoos (Metrosexual) and to buy a house for $10,000 (The American Dream). I earned around $30,000 from the fares.

@Fallout3476v2: I don't know, I unlocked it exactly after 50 people in one run, maybe you transported several people before? If not, than it glitched positively for you :)

Tried this today and did 20 fares in a row then my xbox froze. Before I tried taxi mode I tried getting arrested 50 times. I got up to 41 in a row without saving and my xbox froze. If your just after the achievements and don't care about the money I suggest you don't try doing these in one run. Save your game after 15 or so that way you won't need to start over like me.

yes, i did 15 fares then saved. repeated. then i did the last 20 and it popped. i used a different taxi for each set.

@o DEEVIUS o: By breaking the run you mean getting all bonus money? I don't know for sure, but I think if you do 20 fares than change vehicle and do another 10, you won't get continuous bonus for all 30, but just for the first 20 and then for 10.

Yes I did actually mean for the bonus cash not the achievement, I know that they do not have to be consecutive for the achievement but I was at 25 and started to become hungry and losing weight and health. I was wondering if I could run out to get some food and return and still continue on.

I just tried that thing DEEVIUS, when you get out of the taxi, the mission immediately ends. So you can not get food while doing this

i can confirm that you only need to drop off 50 people.
It does not have to be in one session.. i did once now and then between missions.. total of 20.. then another 30, 2 days later in one run.. and got the achievement as soon as the Stats-Missions-Taxi passengers dropped off reached 50.

Mine popped on exactly 50 - Did 25 then another 10 in Los Santos then another 10 later in Whetstone, then last 5 in San Fierro.

I did 5 early on in LS and then another 45 in a row in San Fierro, didn't pop, good thing I didn't quit after that. This game is just glitchy sometimes.

^ Not true for me I'm afraid, like I said above; I did 25 in Los Santos one night, saved and quit, then another 10 the next night, saved and quit out, then next night another 10 in Whetstone after more story missions, saved and quit again, then did my last 5 in San Fierro later in the week.

Unfortunately, the way I explained it affected me. :/ I really wish it didn't. If it didn't, then it took forever and I did well over 50 fares. I was just letting the people that didn't know a heads up.

I had to do 50 in one "session". They weren't all in the one run and they weren't all in the same taxi, but I did them all without saving and quitting. I did die and re-spawn at the hospital in between, I didn't do any missions.

I just did this achievement and I had 27 continuous but some of the previous were from another day where I had saved and quit. Unlocked as soon as total said 50 in the missions tab.

Let me reiterate Michael Vanek when he says "it doesn't have to be in one run" He's right, it doesn't, but I was under the assumption that it was accumulative through out the entire game. It's NOT. You have to do it in a single game session. Meaning, if you do 20 and you save and quit, those 20 will disappear. Doesn't matter if you save, they will disappear. If you're playing for a total of about 3 hours or so, you can do 5 or 10 every 10 minutes or so. If you're planing to divide it up and not do it in one run, make it easier on your self and stop on even numbers and keep count.

For this achievement you must deliver 50 passengers to your destination by taxi, to start this task you must press

Sadly there is no easy way to skip through this – every city is the same in terms of distance. If you want, you can wait until Las Venturas is open, since it is the most relatively flat of the three to complete. Simply enter any taxi by jacking it and click to activate. Then get your 50 fares. You donot have to complete all 50 in one sitting. Completing this mission set will automatically give all taxis you enter hydraulics and nitrous.
