How to unlock the Off the Plane achievement in Grand Theft Auto V - Definitive Guide

When you start a new GTA online character Lemar will run you through some basic stuff and get you set up, once you complete this the achievement will pop.

If you have transferred your character over this may not pop, or if you accidentally skip the introduction missions, you just need to create a new online character in a new slot and complete it again.

[AUTOPOP] The first thing you will have to do when accessing GTA Online for the first time is design your character. You can adjust the various "Heritage" options to tweak the facial appearance and gender of your character, choose "Lifestyle" to adjust your various starting stats, and finally "Appearance" for the more physical characteristics like age, hair and clothes. Once this is done, select "Save & Continue". After this, the introductory cutscene will play accompanied by the credits.

Lamar will pick your character up from the Los Santos International Airport, say a few welcoming words and give you your first weapon. He will drive you to a house and drop you off. As soon as you get out of the car, this trophy will pop.

After you finish customizing your character, click "Save and Continue" in order to begin your Online experience. There will be a short cutscene as Lamar drives you through the city of Los Santos and fills you in on the activities and people you will encounter around San Andreas. After he drops you off at the Tutorial Race, the achievement will unlock.
