How to unlock the Run Like The Wind achievement in Grand Theft Auto V - Definitive Guide
Requirements:
- Be at least level 10;
- Talk to Lester at his house ("L" on the map);
- Don't be in passive mode.
- Go to a solo or an invite-only session - from pause menu in Single Player, select GTA ONLINE, then PLAY GTA ONLINE, and lastly SOLO SESSION or INVITE ONLY SESSION;
- Keep robbing cars (those with drivers, not the parked ones) and evading police when necessary;
- Eventually you will receive text messages from "Unknown" threatening you and a banner saying BOUNTY will appear on the center of your screen.
How to survive for a day:
OPTION 1: Idle
- Simply go to somewhere on the open where you can't get accidentally killed, like a top of a building, a small alley, a top of a billboard, whatever;
- Move your character every few minutes so you don't get kicked from the session;
- Wait for the achievement to pop - will take around 50 minutes after the BOUNTY message.
PPS: You can die, as long as it's not due to other players actions. Therefore, you shouldn't be killed by other players, hence you stay away from public sessions after getting the bounty on your head.
OPTION 2: Doing stuff that earn you RP and GTA$
- Hunt some collectibles (Playing Cards, Action Figures, Signal Jammers, Movie Props or Shipwrecks);
- Stunt Jumps (same from Single Player Story);
- Hunt and deliver Exotic Exports in the docks;
- Get and deliver Simeon's cars in the docks (1 per day max).
Edit:
Disclaimer: GTAO is an ever-changing game, with game modes and features coming and going, which means the provided solution might not work forever. Since I'm not playing GTAO anymore, let me me know if the solution gets outdated.
Thanks!
The easiest way to earn this trophy is by inviting a friend or a boosting partner to a private session and getting them to place a bounty on your head using the above method. You must be Rank 10 yourself to have a bounty placed on your head, even if the other player has unlocked the ability to set bounties.
For the trophy to unlock you must survive with a bounty for 24 in-game hours, plus however long it takes to reach the next hour mark. For example: If someone sets a bounty on you at 12:27pm, you must survive until 1pm the next day. One in-game day is a real-life total of 48 minutes. Participating in activities, races or missions will pause the timer, so the best way to pass the time is by driving or running around the map to avoid timing out (set at 15 minutes of being idle) and leaving the session. One thing you cannot do is camp in your apartment, as the timer will pause as soon as you enter it. If an NPC kills you or you commit suicide, the bounty will not be negated so if you are only with your boosting partner in a session you don't have to worry.

There is also a small chance that you might get lucky with this in a solo session. If you steal cars from NPCs (particularly the more expensive "premium" cars), there is a chance that they will place a bounty on your head in revenge. You will get a threatening text message from them then Lester will call you informing you that you have a bounty on your head. Survive for 24 hours (flying around the map is best in solo as the NPC will never find you) and the trophy will be yours.
Before you can attempt this achievement, you must be a Rank 10. Once at this rank, Lester will eventually give you a call, so head over to his house for a short cutscene where he informs you about Bounties. After this, load up a Private Lobby with a friend who is also a Rank 10 and have each player call Lester. There will be an option to "Place a Bounty" on a player in the lobby for a minimum of $2,000. Place a bounty on each other and simply wait for 24 in-game hours (45 minutes real-time) to pass.
Be sure NOT to kill each other, or it will void the achievement; however, if an NPC kills you, it does not void the time. Furthermore, if you decide to perform any activity within the world, the timer will pause. Also, take note that you can get kicked for inactivity if you are standing idled for too long. To avoid getting kicked out of the lobby and ruining your progress towards the achievement, it is recommended to either cruise around the city in a car or hang out in your apartment - if you have one - until the achievement unlocks.
Alternatively, you can try to get this achievement solo if you do not have anyone to place a bounty on you. Often times, when you hijack enough vehicles during your online session, the NPC you hijacked will text you with a threatening message informing you that they are going to get back at you. Shortly after, Lester will call you and let you know that the NPC has placed a bounty on your head. If this happens, follow the method above in order to pass 24 in-game hours.
