How to unlock the San Andreas Sightseer achievement in Grand Theft Auto V - Definitive Guide

A relatively easy achievement to obtain. All you need to do is fly a plane across all of Los Santos and Blaine county, I recommend using Trevor for this as he has an airfield(after the mission Nervous Ron) A good plane to use for this is the Besra, it can be bought off of elitas travel, for around $658,000. In case you are unaware of how to buy planes, then all you need to do is open the players phone by pressing the top D-pad, and navigating to internet, then going to ‘Vehicles and Transport’ going to elitastravel.com and scroll until you see the besra, then buy it, you may have to die in games to get the email confirming your purchase. Once you have it go to your airfield and get in the plane, then just fly across the whole map.

For this achievement the easiest way to get it is to grab a helicopter
A very consistent spawn location for the helicopter would be the noose headquarters pictured here https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTb1gtE...
Simply climb to the roof (on the left side of the building there is a ladder) and most times there will be a buzzard attack chopper.
Once you have all of the land marked, if it still hasn’t popped fly around the eastern coastline. Marking each of the white circles on your map. If it still doesn’t pop just fly around the island and search on the map for any small transparent spots on the map.

The map fog isn't being removed with a helicopter or Blimp! I can see icons with a cleared patch around them, but can't reveal anything new...It was probably a Quick Resume bug - I quit the QR and rebooted and it's clearing now. Go Blimpy! 🎈

The description for this trophy is slightly misleading as revealing the ocean is also required, however, focus first on revealing all of the land area. You will notice that at the start of the game, despite the whole map being available to explore, the vast majority of it is clouded over with its features indistinguishable. The best way to reveal the map this is to get a helicopter or a plane (the fighter jet which you can steal from Fort Zancudo is preferable since it's the fastest) and fly along the coast to define the land boundaries, then start in one corner and work your way north (or south, depending on your starting point) before turning round and going back the other way in a parallel line. Do not worry as much about the ocean as you will reveal the majority of it whilst searching for Nuclear Waste for Waste Management .

If after all this you are still without the trophy, set your waypoint on areas of the ocean still undefined and either fly or use a boat to uncover these areas. Note: The map "ends" where the water turns deep blue so if you carry on past this point, you are not uncovering any more of the map.

Luckily you do not have to reveal every last pixel as the trophy unlocks once around 95% of the map is revealed.

The entire island of San Andreas is open from the start; however, the world will be hidden on your map by dark clouds of fog until you have explored that general area. Once you have explored a certain section of the map, the fog will clear up and you can see the map as normal.

Even though most of the map will be uncovered through natural story progression, the best way to uncover the map quickly would be to use a plane or helicopter. Unlike cars, aircraft will uncover the world much faster as opposed to maneuvering through every street, mountain pass and body of water. Once you have cleared up about 98% of the island and the surrounding bodies of water along the shoreline, the achievement will unlock.

If you haven’t opened the map after completing the story, choose Trevor, get into the helicopter, look at the map (dark spots), these are the ones you need to clear. If the trophy does not appear, take a fighter or plane and fly near the coastline.

The trophy drops when exploring a certain area of the map. I still have a few medium spots left on the map, but the trophy dropped. I received the trophy purely by accident while I was active in the game.
Here are my tips:
1. Don't worry about the trophy at the beginning of the game. You will still travel through most of the map in the story, so don't waste time at the beginning of the game.
2. Don't fast travel in a taxi.
3. I knocked out the trophy at the end of the story.
IMPORTANT
Leave the "under the bridge" and "knife" flights for the end of the game. This will help you explore most of the map while you fly from one place to another.
Collecting UFOs/letters/tracts "epsilon" will also help you (collect them while flying in a helicopter).
The waste and wreck sites of the submarine deserve special attention. While you collect waste and wreckage of the submarine, you will be able to explore the entire coastline of the island and will not have to fly around everything several times by plane. Also take part in parachuting and other activities in GTA 5. Here you will achieve several achievements at once.
Tourist, debris, letters and gradually collect interest on completion for 100%

I would like to make some additions.
1. If you (like me) don’t know/can’t/don’t understand how to steal a fighter, then a good option is to call for Trevor and call the airship. Yes, slowly, and for a long time, but you can open everything before going through the story and see where you are going, like this I did.
2. As you know, if you enter the territory of the largest airport (which is below and slightly to the left on the map), then first the dispatcher shouts that this is closed airspace, and then they give 3 stars. We go to the maximum height and fly without problems opens this part of the map. I wasn’t able to do much checking above the military base. I ran into 4 stars, but quickly left (I was flying straight and the helicopters didn’t see me, since I managed to accelerate this vessel. Perhaps the theme with a maximum height will work, since it turns out to be very high, higher than Chiliad and flying airplanes. Almost in space)
3. Don't forget about the islands around the coastline.
4. The sea around the land part is not needed.

IMPORTANT!!! There is a large lake in front of Chiliad, we fly over it, sometimes you just can’t see that not everything is open (I wanted a nice screen to insert that says I’m flying over Chiliad and then THUNK, but it turned out over the lake, at night in the rain).

After passing, there will be unseen spots on the map, the easiest way is to fly by plane so that opening the map is 3 times faster than by car)

If there are no more empty spaces on the map, and you haven’t given a trophy, I advise you to fly in a fighter or plane near the coastline, sooner or later the trophy will appear, this personally helped me.

In addition to an airplane, you can use a helicopter; it flies quickly and is easier to maneuver than an airplane.

Another small addition from personal experience. If you have flown around everything and there are no more gray spots left on the map, and there is still no trophy - check with the open map (for example in the social club) I missed a small island on the top right, if you look in the game, then everything just looks like the beginning of the ocean, but There was an island hiding there, be careful.

Those who bought the disc edition received a paper map with the game. Look at it carefully and check the map in the game. If there are slightly darkened islands (most often there is a problem with them), we fly there and boldly circle around. Much more effective than flying blindly along the entire coast

It’s not necessary to open the entire map, the most important thing is to open all of Los Santos and almost everywhere in Blaine County, because I had 5 spaces left, but the trophy fell out.

It is almost impossible to fly over mountains by plane; in this situation, the Airship will save you. The achievement opened with several black spots on the map.

You also need to pay attention to small areas, I flew over the entire coast, but the trophy did not fall. It turned out there was a small island left, which was almost like a dot on the map.

Get 90% as you progress through the game, don't waste your time at the beginning of the game)))

If the entire map is open, but the trophy is not given, then we do the following: open the map in the menu and put a mark everywhere around the island. In the fog of war, the mark provides a small amount of illumination, so you can easily spot missed spots.

It’s better to beat the game first and then complete this achievement. The easiest way is by plane.

I unexpectedly received a trophy while collecting nuclear waste. Therefore, it is not necessary to fly around the island. Don't waste your time. It's easier to collect two trophies at once.

The trophy fell out while flying around the city, and there were blind spots near the coast.

I had a code for an airship in the box with the game. If you also have it, then feel free to enter the password and fly on the airship.. with it, at least at the beginning of the game you can get this trophy.

To get the trophy, you need to fly a plane along the coast, navigate using the mini-map, fly straight along the outermost line showing the water (not the shore) and like that around the entire island. Stains can be left on the island itself.
