This achievement is story based, you can't miss it. It comes after the first heist when you rob the jewellery store prior to meeting Lester, after scoping the place out, and getting hold of equipment, you do the heist.
The heist can go differently depending on which way you choose to do it, quietly and quickly, or all guns blazing. Once it's done and you've escaped back to Lester's, the achievement will pop.
NOTE: There's a strange phenomenon happening just lately with the Achievement system on the Xbox One. Achievements aren't popping visibly or audibly, but they do. Your console has to be connected to Live, so if they don't pop, check your Internet connection, and the Xbox Live status page at http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status
They DO pop correctly, as I obtained them on the 360 version.

An FYI, this didn't pop for me. However, I replayed the mission and it popped then.

I've updated the solution with a note. It's Microsoft's mental Online only achievement system on the One that's the cause.

This achievement requires you to complete "The Jewel Store Job".
The Jewel Store Job can be done in any way the "Smart" approach or the "Loud" approach. I will cover them both.
This mission can only be started as Michael. When you start it, a cutscene begins.
Smart Approach
If you chose the "Smart" approach, then after the cutscene, you will need to get in the car with Franklin and ride him to the jewelry store where he will climb the building and throw some gas grenades in the ventilation system. This knocks everyone in the store out. You switch to Michael and you have to steal as many diamonds as you can from the shop before the time runs out and the alarm rings. When time runs out, you want to escape the jewelry shop and ride on the motorcycle and follow your crew. Make sure you take your time when you are following them as if you fall off your motorcycle, you are most likely going to fail the mission. Once you make it out onto the LA River, you will be switched to Michael in which you are meant to ram into the cops trailing the motorcycles, if you don't do it in enough time, then you will fail the mission. When you are in the clear, you have to drive the motorcycle into the truck as Franklin. Once you do, you switch to Michael to drive the truck towards the lockup to finally get a cutscene to finish the mission.
NOTE: IF YOU DIDN'T UNLOCK THIS ACHIEVEMENT WHEN YOU COMPLETED THE MISSION THEN REPLAY THE MISSION VIA THE "GAME" TAB.

Loud Approach
If you chose the "Loud" approach, then after the cutscene, you will want to get in the van with the crew and drive to the jewelry store. You switch to Michael and you have to steal as many diamonds as you can from the shop before the time runs out and the alarm rings. When time runs out, you want to escape the jewelry shop and ride on the motorcycle and follow your crew. Make sure you take your time when you are following them as if you fall off your motorcycle, you are most likely going to fail the mission.
