How to unlock the Trading Pure Alpha achievement in Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox One) - Definitive Guide

You can do this at any point in the game by accessing your phone, launching the Internet, selecting Money and Services and buying stock. You can sell the stock at any point in the game when it has gone up in value from the time you purchased.
However, my favorite time to do this is during a mission called "The Hotel Assassination" (one of Lester's missions for Franklin). During the mission, Lester will inform you that Franklin's actions during the mission will boost the price of Betta Pharmaceuticals, so using this method is fast, reliable and doesn't require you to strategically play the market. This is about the 20th mission you will undertake in the game.
Go ahead and start the mission to trigger the opening cutscene. As soon as the cutscene has ended, go into your phone and launch the Internet. Click on "Money and Services" and select the BAWSAQ stock exchange. Locate Betta Pharmaceuticals. Since the stock is guaranteed to rise, I recommend maxing out your funds and buying as much stock as you can (maybe leave a little on the side so you can buy a sniper rifle during the mission). As soon as the mission ends, enter your phone, access "Money and Services" and "My Portfolio". Sell your stock for a great profit and this achievement will unlock!

I've already completed this mission. Do you know if replaying the mission will affect the stock prices?

This would have been more helpful if you mentioned it is the FIRST Lester mission you do.

Easy method that worked for me on both xbox 360 and xbox one. The stock market is influenced by what you do in game. For example: getting drunk raises the value of shares in DollarPills (a company that sells beer).
Go to the stock market on your phone
Buy DOP DollarPills shares (one is enough)
Hang out with your buddies (Trevor, Michael and Franklin) and go to a bar so you get drunk
Check the stock market again and you will see that these shares have a much higher value

This did not work for me, I tried getting drunk twice and stocks still went down.

Complete Random Event - Bike Thief City 1 which you can find where it is on the GTA wiki. Wait a while and you'll get an email saying that Gray Nicholson (the guy whos bike you got back) sent you $100,000 in Animal Ark stock. Then go on your phone or a computer and go to Internet, then Money and Services, then www.lcn-exchange.com, then My Portfolio. Click on the Animal Ark stock, click Sell, then Sell All, and confirm. You'll get the achievement.
