Simply launch a Survival, and survive all waves of it. I recommend the Boneyard one as there's a big container/Portakabin you can use for excellent cover. It can be done solo, but takes longer. If you do it with a Crew or gang of other players it is quicker, and you still get the achievement. Here's a good YouTube video to help:

Edit: Survival has been rotated back in
Unfortunately, Survival has been vaulted recently. For this version of the game, there is a special event for survival that will last until October 27, 2021. (https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/events). It is unclear whether or not survival will return after the conclusion of this weekly special event, which may indicate that the achievement may become discontinued in the future. Meaning that if you wish to earn this achievement and complete the game, now is a great time to do so. The special event is quite difficult, but we used the map Grapeseed and stuck to the roofs, forming a good strategy after some trial and error. Good luck!

This location is much more shielded. I was able to get the achievement first try using this location on the "Sandy Survival" job. You can bookmark the job here so that you can open it in-game:

Other general tips:
- Buy as much body armor as you can from Ammunation before starting survival.
- Buy lots of snacks from convenience stores before starting survival. You'll use these to replenish your health during combat.
- Wear your heavy heist armor and bullet-proof helmet if you have them.
- Use the interaction menu to refill your health and armor during combat if necessary.
- Pick up ammo, health, and armor between rounds. It should all be right out in front of you if you use the location above.
- Get back to cover before the between round timer runs out.
- Use the minigun on choppers if you have access to it. If not, homing rockets don't seem to track so use a high-powered rifle to take out the gunner and pilot. Try to use the surrounding roofs as cover when you're reloading or taking fire.

Just in case anyone else hadn't unlocked survival like me... You need to be level 15 and have visited Trevor after receiving a call from Ron. You'll be tasked with a survival challenge which after you complete or fail it should unlock the survival locations on your map.

THANK YOU. I've never made it past the fourth wave, until following this solution. I didn't have the heist armour or helmet and only used a few snacks and about 6 armours from inventory. Grenades are key for moments when enemies establish their own cover, but still very doable without. If I can solo with this method, than almost anyone can.
