How to unlock the A Mystery, Solved achievement in Grand Theft Auto V - Definitive Guide

There are a total of 50 letter scraps hidden throughout San Andreas.

As soon as you pick one up it will save, no need to pick it up again.

As soon as you have all 50 switch to Franklin and go to the "?"
The Mission is "A Starlet in Vinewood."
- Gold Medal requirement: Kill Dreyfuss

Leonora Johnson is a dead San Andreas resident in GTA 5.
You need to find all 50 Letter Scraps around the map.

After gathering every Scrap, Franklin will be led to the home of Peter Dreyfuss. After confronting Dreyfus, Franklin is given the option of giving chase or letting him go. Choosing to pursue and assassinate him completes the mission A Startlet in Vinewood and the A Mystery, Solved Achievement.

There are 50 hidden Letter Scraps scattered all over San Andreas and they can be picked up with any character at any time during the game. These letters are small, glowing pieces of paper that were left behind by a serial killer in San Andreas. Like the space ship parts, some of these scraps can only be reached with a helicopter.

After finding all 50 scraps, proceed to the newly discovered green question mark icon in Rockford Hills while playing as Franklin. There, you will meet Leonora Johnson's killer, Peter Dreyfuss. After a short cutscene, it is up to you in deciding Dreyfuss's fate. Regardless of what you do to the man, the achievement will unlock after your decision is made.

It is recommended to work on both set of collectibles after you have purchased the Downtown Cab Company as Franklin. Once you own the company, taxi rides will be free. If you are following the videos, you can just set a waypoint to the next collectible and fast travel to your destination through the taxi cab. Make sure to whistle when you get out of the cab so it stays there while you grab the collectible. Credit goes to WalterWhite for this brilliant idea.

There are 50 locations of letters in the map. Once you find them all you will unlock the A Mystery Solved Trophy / Achievement. Just look carefully the map and find them all easily.

There are 50 Letter Scraps to collect in GTA V and they appear as soon as the game starts and can be picked up by all the three characters. Once you find all 50 you must go (as Franklin) to the labelled "Killer" located here:

There you will meet a character and the Strangers & Freaks mission "A Starlet In Vinewood" will begin. Simply chase and kill him in order to complete the Strangers mission, after which this trophy will pop.

The Letter Scraps are small, glowing pieces of paper. Just like with the Spaceship Parts some of them can only be reached with a helicopter. If you are having trouble locating some of the Scraps, you can use Chop (as Franklin) to locate them for you. Stand next to him and press , from the list of options choose to take him for a walk with . When you are walking, press to send him out to find "pick ups" and if there is a collectible nearby he will run off and stand next to it. Follow the bone icon on the mini-map and the collectible will be there.

On extremely rare occasions a Letter Scrap may not be where it should be. If this occurs, switch characters then back again and it should be there.

To prevent the killer from leaving for Franklin's mission, shoot out the tires of the jeep parked near his house before entering the yard. The killer will swear near the car and run along the road. Get in your car and crush him. Mission completed 100%.

In the social club, at the very bottom of the page, there is a map, in its upper right corner, click - not found and it will show the location of all this that is needed for the trophy.

I advise you to collect all the letters at the end of the game. You buy a helipad with Franklin or Michael and collect all the letters on the helicopter, because... it takes a long time by car.

There are applications for your phone with maps, they are not difficult to navigate. and you can mark those collected right away. It’s a pity they don’t take information from the game so that it can be updated automatically

As for Franklin's side quest, which unlocks after collecting all 50 scraps, there are some pretty easy and fun ways to achieve the goal:

1. You can, like me, park the helicopter on the road (well, or block the road in any other way) so that the car cannot leave.

2. You can shoot out the wheels of the desired car.

3. You can stick explosives on the desired car with Velcro and detonate it at the right moment.

Personally, I didn’t have any problems with the trophy with the latest patch; it fell out like a sweetheart.

The achievement does not appear after collecting 50 letters, but rather after completing the Dreyfus mission. Don't torment the last scrap, go to Dreyfus. Advice with Velcro on his car is a miss. Velcro disappears - checked. Please note that Franklin's special ability does not work adequately in this chase. With full pumping, I ran out in 5 seconds, and in the next 30 it was never replenished. But it’s easy to catch up with him.

Be sure to save before picking up the 50th piece of the letter and turn off the Internet, since the trophy is problematic and may not drop. For example, with the Internet on, it didn’t drop out three times, I turned off the Internet and it didn’t drop out either! Then I turned off the game (closed the application), turned off the Internet and booted again with 49 pieces. Then Franklin arrived at the place. Tip for killing: As soon as the preacher runs away from you, immediately start chasing him without taking out your weapon, and only when you run out the gate then hold down and calmly choosing a machine gun, aim at the head, otherwise the guy will run away, he ran from me 5 times. By the way, if he suddenly ran away, then we chase, take the car into view and turn on Franklin’s special ability - it’s much easier to get in.

So I completed these achievements... I probably spent ~3 hours leisurely collecting the fragments of the UFO and letters.

For these achievements I took Trevor, he controls planes/helicopters better.
I took the Buzzard helicopter, it is small and moves quickly.
I went to https://ru.socialclub.rockstargames....reer/checklist and kept track of what I had left uncollected.

I started collecting everything from Blaine County (upper region) and slowly went down to the bottom.
Every 8-10 objects, I saved the game via my phone.
If the helicopter started to smoke, I landed it, saved and loaded it again and voila, we have a new helicopter.

On the last fragment/letter, I saved it, just in case, and turned off the Internet, just in case. We switch to Franklin and took him away. (But we can collect everything with other characters).
Well, actually, after collecting all 50 letters, Franklin will go to Peter Dreyfuss, who will start to run away, we kill him.
