How to unlock the Dialling Digits achievement in Grand Theft Auto V - Definitive Guide

While in an online session, go into your contacts list on your phone, scroll to Merryweather and select the Backup helicopter option. You must be rank 20 to unlock this option on MW. If another player has activated it already in a session, you can't call for a backup helicopter yourself and must wait till it expires from said player. You could leave the session for a new one and try there instead. A very easy achievement to get but requires the simple grind of playing the game and reaching rank 20.

[AUTOPOP] Once you reach Rank 20, you will get a call from Merryweather informing you that you can now utilise their help to call in air support via helicopters. To do so, go to the "Contacts" app on your phone and call Merryweather. Select "Backup Helicopter" (which costs $5,000) and they will send a Buzzard to support you. As soon as the Buzzard arrives the trophy will unlock, regardless of whether it actually kills anyone.

You must be at least a Rank 20 in order to receive Helicopter backup. Upon reaching this rank, Merryweather will contact you and inform you that they can provide backup in the form of air-support units to your location. Once you have received this information, open your in-game cellphone and select "Merryweather" in your Contacts. Once the call goes through, you will see a tab with their services pop up on the screen. If you have enough money, select "Helicopter Backup", which costs $5,000, and the achievement will unlock immediately.

The ability to call a Helicopter will appear after Merryweather CALLS YOU 2 times.
