How to unlock the Live a Little achievement in Grand Theft Auto V - Definitive Guide

This trophy will require some grinding. The trophy requires you to spend $8,000,000 on vehicles that are part of the Heists update. Some vehicles are unlocked from the start, but the rest of the vehicles will be unlocked as you play through the Heists. You can view purchasable cars by going to your phone with , then selecting the “Travel and Transport” option on the phone with and going to the various websites.

After completing all the Heists once, you will have earned roughly around $2,000,000. If you are playing with a dedicated group of players and each person hosts every mission once, you might earn close to $8,000,000 in that time. However, there are ways to exploit money to get the trophy quicker, but Rockstar keeps patching the exploits so I won’t post any specific tips here, but keep checking the other threads on the forum to see if any new exploits are found.

You can buy a car and sell it right away and it will still count toward the trophy, but only if the vehicle is labeled as "Part of the Heists update" on the vehicle websites. You don't need to only purchase cars, the planes and helicopters that are from the same update will also count, however you are unable to sell those vehicles.

Note this trophy has been reported to pop a few minutes after reaching the $8,000,000 spent. Some people have reported it taking over 30 minutes to unlock. For me the trophy popped instantly, about 10 seconds after buying my last vehicle.

Another way to make some easy money would be to buy a GTA cash card with real money. Most people will not want to do this, but for those who just want to get the trophy as fast as possible, there is no faster way than to buy GTA $ and using that to buy the vehicles.

Through the Heist Update, several vehicles have been added to the game, including armored sedans, fighter jets, and even prison buses. Take note that for this achievement, players must spend a minimum of $8 million on the vehicles included in this update, not their upgrades/modifications.

Generally, most of the new vehicles are rather expensive, so players with a small pool of money will need to complete various jobs and heists in order to amass $8 million. Also, please take note that the vehicles are not all available right away. Instead, you will need to complete the heists in order to unlock them one by one. Below, there is a complete checklist of all the new vehicles included in the update with the website you can find them on through your in-game phone. Pick and choose whichever vehicles you’d like to own and the achievement should be yours in no time.

Elitas Travel

  • Velum 5-Seater - $995,000

Legendary Motorsport

  • Casco - $680,000
  • Lectro - $750,000

Warstock Cache and Carry

  • Insurgent Pick-Up - $1,350,000
  • Insurgent - $675,000
  • Hydra - $3,000,000
  • Valkyrie - $2,850,000
  • Technical - $950,000
  • Mule - $32,000
  • Savage - $1,950,000
  • Mesa - $87,000
  • Prison Bus - $550,000

Dock Tease

  • Dingy -$125,000

Southern San Andreas Super Autos

  • Vapid Guardian - $375,000
  • Dinka Enduro - $48,000
  • Declasse Gang Burrito - $65,000
  • Karin Kuruma - $95,000
  • Karin Kuruma (Armored) - $525,000
  • Canis Seminole - $30,000
  • Bravado Rumpo - $13,000
  • Ocelot Jackal - $60,000
  • Ubermacht Oracle XS - $82,000
  • Benefactor Schafter - $65,000
  • Cheval Surge - $38,000
  • Bravado Gresley - $29,000
  • Dundreary Landstalker - $58,000
  • Principe Nemesis - $12,000

If amassing $8 million seems a little daunting, there is a workaround for this achievement that only requires players to have at a bare minimum, $3.4 million.

To begin, complete the tutorial heist entitled, “The Fleeca Job,” as it will unlock the Karin Kuruma (Armored) for purchase. Now buy the car off the auto website for $525,000 and wait for the in-game text message that indicates the vehicle has been delivered to your garage. Go to your apartment, get inside the Kuruma, and exit the garage. Now head to the nearest Los Santos Customs and you will be able to sell the vehicle for $315,000 provided you did not damage the car on your way to the mod shop. This essentially translates to a minimal net loss of only $210,000.

From here, you will automatically exit Los Santos Customs. Open up your in-game phone and purchase another Kuruma, wait for it to be delivered to your garage, then repeat the process detailed above. You will want to continue cycling through this method exactly 16 times in order to obtain the achievement. For the math involved, 16 purchases of the Kuruma, which costs $525,000, equals $8,400,000. As to why this method only requires a minimum of $3.4 million; 16 purchases multiplied by the net loss of $210,000 equals $3,360,000.

Despite your preferred method in working towards this, once you have successfully purchased a total of $8 million worth of Heist Update vehicles, this achievement will finally unlock.

You only need 3.5 million. The method is this: we buy a Kuruma car (armored) for 525,000 and resell for 310,000. Repeat until victory. In total you need to buy 16 "kurum"

A measure has been included in GTA Online to combat the sale of copies of cars obtained through duping.

Adjustments to the sale price of personal vehicles are valid for 18 hours from the date of the last sale, after which the sale price returns to normal.

First car - 100% of the sale price
Second car - 50% of the sale price
Third car - 20% of the sale price
Fourth and subsequent cars - 5% of the sale price

This may interfere with obtaining a trophy when selling kurum

For those who don’t want to waste 3 million and often play GTA ONLINE, I offer my solutions, there are 2 of them and they are similar: for both options it is necessary to find a team of 4 people (it is desirable that everyone has gone through robberies and knows what they are dealing with), buy everyone a heavy combat suit (robbery), choose any one to suit your taste, before each mission buy body armor and food, especially in Trevor’s robbery, where not all missions allow you to use suits (to use your suits, you must choose suits before the mission: player style ), buy at least one team member an armored kuruma. So we have 2 options to complete the Genius of the Underworld award (Complete all 5 robberies: with one team, on a difficult level, without dying once, go through everything in order) or to storm the 5th robbery (I will write how to storm it correctly for the Dead Presidents prize). Now let's move on to the transport that we buy for 8 million: the Savage helicopter (opens after the preparatory mission of the convoy of the 5th robbery, costs 1,950,000), Hydra Fighter (an old friend from San Andreas, opens after the preparatory mission of the EMP of the 3rd robbery, costs 3 million), Insurgent Pick-up (opens after the preparatory mission of the Insurgent 3 Go heist costs 1,350,000), Karin Technical (Terrorist Pickup, opens after the Final 4 Go heist costs 950,000), Lectro motorcycle (unlocks after the last preparatory mission of the 5 Go heist or the final of the 5th heist (honestly not I remember) it costs 750,000) after purchasing all this a prize will appear In principle, you can buy transport at your discretion, but I have listed the most interesting and useful transport. Also, advice: If you perform the Genius of the Criminal World, watch the video with walkthroughs on YouTube on the Gtaseriesvideos channel, everything is clearly and accessiblely described there.
