This can be completed on any career event, even the first one, Most levels require you simply to win the race to earn three stars. You can make this achievement easier by changing the difficulty to “very easy.”

The introductory race is best suited for the reward. However, for Showman you have to end all events with three stars anyway. It depends on the particular event, how you get the three stars. Sometimes you have to be first, another time is the best time to beat. Get three stars for the reward once.

This should come naturally. You need to get as many stars as you can as you play, to level up quicker anyways. There are 60 events for a total of 180 stars. Pay attention to the objectives and play on an easier setting if you are struggling. Pick faster vehicles or cars you think are a great balance of speed and control. Being comfortable in your settings and car is sometimes more important than just power.
