How to unlock the A book with funny pictures achievement in Graveyard Keeper - Definitive Guide
To get the quest for this, you need to have completed the first requirement for Snake in the basement of your Church (which also gets you the 'Summon a chicken' achievement). Snake will then send you to the Astrologer to get a specific book.
The Astrologer appears by the lighthouse on the far right of the map on the day which has the little blue crescent moon symbol.
Make sure to take 5 Maggots with you on the way as it will save you time when you get there. You can get Maggots by creating a compost heap in your garden and generating compost with dead plant matter you get when you harvest crops.
Once you reach the Astrologer and ask him about the book, he will tell you he gave it to the Fisherman a few steps nearby standing directly next to the lighthouse.
Head over to the Fisherman and ask him about the book. He will then tell you he'll give it to you for some Maggots.
If you brought Maggots with you, it's a straight swap and you can head back to give the book to Snake when he next appears in the basement of the church. As soon as you hand it over, the achievement should pop.

A part of Snake's questline, you will have to complete the following:
1. Obtain the Keeper's Key from the Astrologer. He'll also request you to bring back the Keeper's Diary further in the basement past the gate.
2. Remove debris from either your cellar or the church basement to actually meet with Snake.
3. Show him the old key to get instructions for the key, which you can use to study the Keeper's Key and get an Active Key. (You will need Faith and Science as well to get this).
4. Talk to Snake again and he'll use the key to open the gate.
5. You'll split from Snake and burn from the fire trap, dying. Return and Snake will be impressed and disgusted at the same time over your immortality. He'll ask you to proceed into the dungeon to get some items for him (5x Bloody Nails, 1x Bucket of Blood).
6. The bloody nails come from Iron Maidens from floor 3+. The bucket of blood is obtained either from a chest at the end of floor 5, or from the Church Workbench.*
7. Returning both items, he'll next ask for the Necronomicon. This can be obtained from the Astrologer after having completed some of his quest (you need about 30 Trust or so to get this step from him). The Necronomicon is instead carried by the Lighthouse Keeper and will exchange it to you for 5x maggots (from the Compost Heap).
8. Returning the Necronomicon to Snake will give you this trophy. After this, he'll want you to make the Sacrifice Zone darker by adding more fixtures that provide dark energy.

This is the 4th task that Snake will give you. He will ask you to bring him the Necronomicon. You'll need to talk to the Astrologer, whom will point you to the Lighthouse Keeper if you have at least 40 standing with him. He will request 5 maggots for the book. Once you have the book, bring it to Snake.
