Just a heads up.
I thought you had to sell a gold star book to the the Astrologer (or maybe 7
) but this is done during a mission given by the Astrologer so hold onto your gold star book for his task :)
To make a gold star book:
You need 3 gold star stories
Then make each story into a gold note on the desk (in alchemy lab under church)
On the same desk turn all three gold notes into a gold chapter
Make a gold star hard cover on the Church workshop
Combine gold chapter and gold hard cover for gold book
*trick* sleep/save before making something gold that has a chance to be silver. If it’s not gold quit and try again

The quest asks for a silver star book, will he actually accept the gold star book?

This is a missable achievement.
IF you have the DLC Stranger Sins, you may find an item called "obsidian". If you research the obsidian it you will receive an item called "Obsidian Research". This should be hidden far away and never used.
When you get to the end the Astrologer's quests, you will have the option of giving him the obsidian research or the silver book. YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT give him the obsidian research papers. This will prevent you from giving him the gold book the following week.
Astrologer quest:
1- Bring him a skull
2- Get the keeper's journal through Snakes' quest and then give it to the Astrologer.
3- Bring Acid(buy my Witch or make) and Restoration Tools(from Snake) to the Astrologer
4- Talk to him about the Necromicon
5- Talk to the Gypsy Baron. Complete the Inquisitor quests up to 60 to release prisoner. Return to the Gypsy Baron and then to the Astrologer.
6- Talk to Mrs. Charm and return to the Astrologer.
7- Talk to Mrs. Charm and work on her quest to have the mute accompany her. Talk to the farmer, to the son, to the miller and then go back to the Astrologer to get mill papers and then fix the mill and then talk to the farmer and go back to Mrs. Charm.
8- Bring the Astrologer a silver book. {You can buy 2x silver covers from him, go to the church and create 2x gold chapters. You will probably need to use the "writer's prayer" to get gold chapters. You will need gold jewelry to create a gold cover. You can use the "gem" tech when you combine the gold chapter and gold cover to ensure a gold book is created.}
9- The following week, bring the Astrologer a gold book.
Again, under no circumstance should you give the Astrologer the obsidian research.

This trophy is highly missable if you own the dlc's as you can void this trophy giving the Astrologer the Notes about Obsidian you can dig up instead of the silver star book.
