After getting the tavern built, go talk to Gerry in the mortuary and then go meet him at the new tavern. If you go overland, it's all the way over by the lighthouse, right where you dug up the machine. Alternatively, you can take the new underground passage past the merchant's warehouse, which is MUCH shorter.
Talk to Gerry again when you arrive and he'll tell you to build a Barman Doll. Head back home and you'll find a new Barman Doll buildable item in your Carpenter's Workbench II. Craft the doll, carry it back to the tavern, and throw it up on the bar. Yorick will appear now, so have a chat with him and he will then take possession of the doll, and hand you an achievement.
