How to unlock the Perfect Rescue achievement in Gravity Guy - Definitive Guide

If voting negative please explain why so I can improve the solution.

This solution provides an alternative way of playing the game in slow motion without having to spend money buying lots of slow motion.

If you're playing on a computer, there's a free software named CPUKiller (just Google it). It basically slows your CPU so that you can play the game as in slow motion. The free SW gives you 20 minutes, which after that it'll resume normal speed, but you just have to launch the SW again to have another 20 minutes.

There's a sliding bar at the bottom of the user interface where you setup the amount you want to slow down. I used about 85% CPU speed on my computer.

You can combine this solution with the other one in this site or try it on one go to a more "legit" way of getting it without spending money. Anyway I advise Alt-tab out of the game and reset the CPUKiller before and each 18 minutes.

Good luck!

This achievement requires to you to finish Rescue Chapter without dying. There is a very time-consuming way to get this using the save files on the system if you are finding that you cannot get this legit.

Note that you need access to the windowsapps folder in order to do the following (you have to change permissions on your computer to get access).

Go to AppData\Local\Packages\MiniclipSA.GravityGuy_gpanv 85qtf6rc\LocalState

Find your save file "data.sav" so you know where it is. Keep the file explorer app open to the folder that contains this file.

Now what you want to do is play a few checkpoints that you know you can get without dying. Once it starts to get hard, and if you haven't died yet, then exit out of the game after the checkpoint you selected (you can do this after the first one if you are worried).

Copy data.sav to your desktop. Play the game again. If you die, then exit the game (I prefer to kill it in the task manager), copy your data.sav back into the save folder, restart the game and continue. So it goes like this:

1. Copy data.sav to desktop
2. Play game, get checkpoint, pause, exit out
3. Kill game in task manager
4. Copy data.sav to desktop
5. Play game
6. If you die, exit out.
7. Kill game in task manager
8. Copy data.sav from desktop back to save folder
9. Restart game with previous save (before you died) and continue
10. Repeat from step 2

Like I said, this is time-consuming and very tedious but it works. You may start getting confused with your save file and accidently copying the save where you died to the desktop which will mess everything up. You may want to make a couple copies just to be safe.

This will also get you the 10 and 20 checkpoints without dying. If you get those achievements using this method then you know it's working. Enjoy!

Great guide! And thanks for the help while I was using this! One thing I noticed, if I was in the process of dying when I paused, I feel the game knew I was going to die and it counted as a death, even though I hadn't actually died yet. I think this is the key - be in a safe spot when you pause the game.

I see you added a blurb about not dying yet, so I just wanted to add this comment to explain why that was.

These two achievements are the hardest in the game. They are what make the game a 9/10 difficulty. You must complete each chapter of Story Mode from start to finish without dying. There is no easy way to do these. You need to just keep playing the levels over and over again until you have them to some degree memorized. Feel free to use Practice Mode to practice Run Chapter, as in that mode there is no Chaser following you. There is no Practice Mode for Rescue Chapter, however.
