How to unlock the Persistence is a virtue achievement in Gravity Guy - Definitive Guide

This is best done in the Story in the Run chapter but I guess it really doesn't matter what chapter. When you come to a checkpoint where your guy doesn't fall of the map but he just gets hung up where the chaser kills you, just let him do it over and over again.

I didn't have any slow downs left so it didn't pause and ask if I wanted to use them. So I just let the dude get caught over and over. Checked back an hour or so later and looked on here to see if I got the achievement and I did.

Hope this helps as I don't play this game that much and can't describe it that well.

Edit: SuddenThunder comments that he did it in practice mode and it didn't unlock so this might just be obtainable in story mode only.

I spent well over an hour in endless and it didn't count either. Seems to be story only.

Do the slowdown messages count as 'breaks', do you know? Even though I'm all out of runs, I still get the message.

To be honest, I don't think they do unless it's just been on there for a while. But I'm not 100% sure.

Dont think they do. I just watched T.V and whenever it came up I would click back into the game. It seems to be worse at the start, then the game seems to figure out that you don't want them and stops asking.

The best thing to do is load up a fresh story run and have him sit at the first block during the tutorial where it tells you to flip gravity. Just leave your PC on and this will pop when an hour has passed.

I got prompted every once in a while to use a "slow down". After using one (press the snail button at the top left) it stopped asking me and I was able to let him get stuck on a block and got the achievement.

I confirmed that this achievement didnt pop for me in Endless. I went over to Story/Campaign and played for w hile. My game paused when my surface went to sleep as I stepped away from it for a few minutes. When I came back and unpaused the game, it asked me if I wanted to use a slow down again, which I said no. Then I let it run again and it popped within 10 minutes. Not sure this will be the same experience for everyone but wanted to let everyone know. Thank you

You need to play for an hour without pausing, exiting the game mode to the menu, or obviously exiting out of the game. Either complete the requirement naturally via an intense Gravity Guy session, or let your character continuously die for one hour. Some Windows Phones have the option to prevent screen-time out entirely (Settings > Lock+Wallpaper > Screen times out after > Never), but most phones only allow up to 5 minutes (presumably to prevent burning out the screens). Set your screen timeout to 5 minutes and every couple of minutes just flip gravity to prevent the screen from locking out. If you are lucky enough to be able to set your screen timeout to "Never," just let it sit for the full hour.

You can also set your PC or tablet to never go to sleep or hibernate.
