To completely upgrade all of Kats abilities, you need to farm and grind a circa cumulative of 100.000 precious gems. Many of them can be collected just floating in the different parts of Jirga Para Lhao and later Hekseville. You also can earn gems by finishing challenges or treasure hunts. And the last option is to visit the various mining sites again and again. But thats rather time consuming and not very produktive in terms of spoil.
Aquiring all those gems WILL take you some time. While I wrote this guide, it is the last missing trophy for me.
What I highly recomend is to craft the "jewel abstractor" talismans. These can be crafted for all three categories of talismans. Also merge as much of that effect as you can to multiply the absorbtion radius of jewels around or near you. Best to keep all 3 of the "jewel abstractor" talismans equiped all the time if you temporarily don't need others.
So my "jewels might respawn after some time" assumption has proven to be wrong. So here is Plan B: Reload mission #19 from your sewer house and proceed to the area where you have to pass in Lunar style without being able to switch styles. Play that area until you reach a plattform around 90y to the goal where are no more gems. Manually save your game from the pause menu. Then reload that save. You will have to start over from the start of that section but you won't loose your gems collected before.
Rince and repeat this section as much as you want. Playing it will take you about 1 to 1.5 minutes and rewards you with a little under 1.000 gems each time.

If you started counting how many gems you need to fully upgrade and, seeing hundreds of thousands, you got frustrated, no need to worry - with each improvement the cost of subsequent upgrades decreases, so in the end it will only take 87k gems, not 100k or 200k.

You need to farm a little further when they give you the moon style and you have to jump on the palms of the stranger’s hands. There, 920 crystals are collected in one pass, versus 270 at the beginning. Which is much more pleasant and reduces time more.
