How to unlock the Got it Covered achievement in Greed Corp - Definitive Guide

Getting this achievement can be tricky as most maps will quickly result in islands that you cannot reach. To prevent this, make a custom game against an skilled AI and play on the map Pioneer's Peninsula. It is very easy to just build walkers (and an armory or two) and out-maneuver your opponent. Once you have him locked in place you can capture the map and build as many cannons as you see fit. This achievement requires a few things before it pops, however:

1) A cannon cannot target any adjacent tiles, so you must have enough cannons to cover every tile in the game. Be sure to check the range of your cannon by pressing X
2) Your cannons must be armed at the beginning of your turn. Meaning, that if you have the cannons and they cover all the tiles, simply buying the ammo won't unlock the achievement. Every cannon you own must be armed and prepared to fire at the beginning of your turn. Remember you buy ammo one turn, but it isn't "available" until the next.

Get 1 and 2 and when your turn comes around the achievement should pop.

Playing against an easy AI will not get you the achievement. You need to play against at least a Skilled AI.

I just got it and am not sure the requirements are correct. I got it when I had all squares covered that were enemy territory and all squares that the AI could go to the round thereafter. A lot of territory was left unclaimed and uncovered. I Also did not fully cover my own territory!

I have changed the skill level for the ai to skilled, thanks for the correction, epsilon theta.

You are welcome. But I am still not convinced the solution is actually correct.

Got the achievement on the map from the first freemen-mission. Just capture the very central tile for the first cannon and build a second one somewhere in your starting territory. To get the achievement the AI has to be at least skilled and the cannons need to have minimum one AVAILABLE shot at the beginning of the turn.

The description for this achievement is slightly confusing. What it is asking you to do, is to place cannons (loaded) so that their shooting range covers every remaining tile. You will need at least two loaded cannons, as a cannon cannot shoot any tiles adjacent to it, nor the tile it is on. To see the range of a cannon press  on it. Any tiles that have a red cross on them, are out of range.

Create a custom match against a single skilled opponent. Evander's Cliff is probably the best map for this, though it can be done on any. Use your harvesters to strategically take out tiles, to make it easier.

You can capture enemy cannons if needed. The achievement will pop as soon as your cannons can cover every tile.
