I got this on meduim drums. I went to make a setlist, and picked every song from the american idiot album. Very sim ple, just time consuming.
Alternitivelty you can play career mode on drums and work on many achievements at once
Finally, you can play random songs.
**Career score is only accumulated on solo play**
********Repeating the same song wont give you extra points on your career score wont count. Career score = Your highest score on each song added together********

Can you do it on no fail mode?

Yes you can, but typically it is better to do it on a lower difficulty that you can nearly 100% than a higher one that you can barley pass. the 4x multipliers will be what gets you most of your points.

For this one, the score only counts from songs played in career mode and if you repeat a song you do not get all the score from it again, you will only get the extra score you got over your previous best on it or if you did not beat your old score, your career score will remain unchanged.

This you can get by just playing through the game while playing the Drums. Once you reach a total of 1 million points across the different game modes, the trophy will unlock. Must be done playing the drums by yourself.
A, CATSHOVEL
You need to earn 1,000,000 points across all of your songs in Career and Quickplay on Drums. Higher difficulties will earn you more points. Save your Overdrive for sections with a lot of notes and try to keep a multiplier for as long as possible.
