No catch to this achievement really. You just have to activate Overdrive as the vocalist.
For people new to Rock Band, Overdrive is the same as Starpower for Guitar Hero and is activated by shouting something into the microphone which give your the x2 multiplying.
Activate Overdrive one hundred times and the 20G is yours. This can be done in ANY difficulty.
Also activating Overdrive can be done in Harmonies and Career, Quickplay and Challnges and it will count towards the 100. (Credit to TiTan8404 For this)
To keep track of how many times you have activated Overdrive go to the Achievement menu under Extras and this should tell you your progress in all achievements.

Along with the information above, you can get credit for activating overdrive in both career and quickplay modes.
In addition, it does not matter if you are singing solo or harmonies.
And finally, vocal overdrives activated during challenges also count toward your total.

This is a pretty standard, but time consuming achievement. You can get this while trying to get a few other achievements as well. You have to use Overdrive 100 Times as a vocalist. If you want to get this done quickly, just go to a song like "Jesus of Suburbia" and activate overdrive as soon as you get it.

Like the others said above me you'll get this naturally but if you want this acheivement to go quicker you can try pick a song that's long like "Jesus Of Surburbia" on easy difficulty because its longer it'll will have sometimes more overdrive phrases on vocals then short songs.You can get this also while doing the career mode on vocals and playing through normally.

This should also be an easy trophy, just use overdrive as the vocalist 100 times. You can play the same song over and over until you get it, or you can just progress through the game as a singer and get it that way. This would also be done quickest on Easy difficulty, as it is more likely you will not miss notes, making it easier to build up the Overdrive bar.

Vocal Overdrive is earned by earning an “Awesome” rating on a phrase that is outlined in yellow. You must hit two of these phrases to obtain enough “Energy” to use Overdrive. You can activate Overdrive by making noise into the Mic during sections that are outlined in a gold border.
