Get an 8x Band Multiplier.

How to unlock the We're on a Roll, No Self Control achievement in Green Day Rock Band - Definitive Guide

You can get this easily just playing casually with 3 other people. You all have to use Overdrive at the same time, but you do not all need to have a personal X4 (or X6) multiplier going for your respective instruments in order for this to work.

That being said, if you have a lonely friends list and all of the instruments yourself, you can just boost it alone. Turn on all your instruments and sign yourself in to whichever instrument is your favorite (why not). Remember to turn the "No Fail" option ON. Then play a song that is a little longer than usual. "Jesus of Suburbia" will give you more than enough time to do this. Now play each instrument 1 at a time until you have Overdrive built up in them all. Activate drums and vocals first (they will almost always be able to activate at the same time) and then tilt your two guitars.

Voila! The achievement will unlock at the end of the song. You may feel silly doing it like this, but if you're not much of a socialite, it may be the only way. Have fun!

To get an 8x band multiplier, you just need a 4 person band and deploy overdrive simultaneously because each person that deploys adds 2x towards the multiplier.

An 8X multiplier can be achieved when everyone in a 4 person band uses Overdrive at the same time. Everyone should wait until all players have a full Overdrive bar. Then the drummer should use his Overdrive first, then the 2 guitarists and the singer should follow up with their Overdrives. This will be much easier If everyone is playing on easy.

If you only have 3 people, then here is a link to the boosting thread:

You will need a 4-player band in order to get this achievement. Simply have everyone in the band activate Overdrive at the same time, regardless of individual multipliers and this achievement is yours. This can be done solo if you have all of the instruments. Put everybody on easy, which enables “No-Fail”, and earn full Overdrive for each instrument (You don’t need full Overdrive, but it will help for Vocals and Drums). The hardest part about this is making sure that Vocals and Drums can have Overdrive active at the same time because they don’t get to choose exactly when they can deploy Overdrive. You will get the achievement at the end of the song.

If you're like me and don't have friends who are good enough at this game (lol) to help you out, you can get this achievement on your own. Be warned, it can get tricky though so buckle up. DONT FORGET TO TURN ON NO FAIL AS THE INSTRUMENTS WONT BE PLAYED AT THE SAME TIME.

Connect all of your controllers (2 guitars, drum kit, mic) to your 360 and play either Jesus of Suburbia or Homecoming, all instruments on easy mode. What you're going to do now is start playing as one instrument (I started with guitar) and keep building the overdrive bar up until it's full. Do not set off overdrive yet! Now, choose which instrument next. Play on every instrument throughout the song until all overdrive bars are filled. I find it was easier to wait until the drums could have overdrive set off as drum overdrive isn't at the click of a button. I would also wait until an instrumental break to be sure you can set off vocal overdrive. Finish the song and the achievement will pop up!

Can be easily done by one if you have all four tools.

We launch a career, select the song Jesus of Suburbia, set the difficulty to Easy, so it will be impossible to lose, catch starpower on each instrument, save it, turn it on first on the drums, then on the other instruments. At the end of the song your
