Story-related; Rachel will run off. Head back down the road past the gas station and into the corn field. you need to follow Rachel's voice through the cornfield to trigger her teddy to spawn near the center. You can't just go to the teddy's spawn location as it won't be there until you follow her voice and hear all her voicelines.
