How to unlock the Internet Famous achievement in GRID 2 - Definitive Guide

I'm not 100% certain on this, but this pinged for me when I reached 250,000 fans.. The achievement unlocked on the fan counter screen, so I don't know what else it could be. Happy to be corrected :)

Went from 246,000 to 317,000 and it popped.

Gain enough fans in season 2 clubs to unlock the second season of WSR events.
