How to unlock the Tokyo Drift achievement in GRID 2 - Definitive Guide
You may need a few attempt to get 350,000 Points, but know how the multiplier bonus work and how to score high points can help you get this achievement faster.
Here is the settings, first go to Custom Event:
Setting:
Race type: Drift
Vehcicle Type: Tier Two(Mazda RX-7 TYPE RZ / (NISMO R34T-R Z-TUNE)
Rounds: 1 Round
AI Drivers: any difficulty you like since you won't crash them, only they will get more points in that event.
Advanced options:
Grid Order: Random(It should place you at last so you don't need to worry a opponent car crash from behind)
Damage: Visual Only
Flashbacks: unlimited (If you go wrong you can use flashback anytime you like)
Track:
Location: Okutama
Track: Torll Rush (shorter but easier to score higher points) / Tenshi Way (Day, longer than Torll Rush so you can choose from these two)
You will get Mazda RX-7 TYPE RZ or NISMO R34T-R Z-TUNE at the beginning of Season 3. Another one need to finish a vehicle challenge to get it.
In my video I am using Mazda RX-7 TYPE RZ since is easier to drift(Drift Car)
When you going to perform a drift, try to stay close to the corner, you will get a x2 multiplier bonus. Also, in most of the corner there will be a Roadblock, if you stay close but haven't hit it, you will get a x3 multiplier bonus.
If the corner similar to semicircle like in the video, it like you are drifting 2 corners at the same time. If you perform a good drift, you should no problem get a x4, x5 or even better, x6 multiplier bonus.
x2 Multiplier bonus - stay close to the corner when drift
x3 Multiplier bonus - stay close to the roadblock(in the corner, red and white colour) when drift
If you crash to the corner or hit the roadblock, all the points you can earn in that single drift will lose. Also, spin will give you 0 points. So when you get many points and have a good bonus but crash, off the track or spin, use the flashbacks feature and try again, always a welcome choice. (Also a good choice if you don't have enough points or score low points)
(For Custom Event, go to Advanced Options and make flashbacks to unlimited so you don't need to worry only have 5 flashbacks in the event.)
Also this is a guide for Drifting like a boss since there have a single drift get (53,470 x 5 = 267,350), this achievement need 250,000 Points only.
Edit: Car Tier Changed.
Edit: Track updated, not Sakura Pass but is Torll Rush, and some Multiplier bonus update. (same for my guide for drifting like a boss)

There are multiple factors that come into play when scoring in drift mode. You'll want a high speed and angle to rack up the most points. More importantly you want to make sure that multiplier is a big as possible. Drifting near a pylon will give you 2x, drifting very close to a pylon will give you 3x, and drifting close to 2 pylons in one continuous drift will give you 4x.
Now that you understand how the scoring works, it's time to get a score of over 350,000. Start out by gaining speed, and pulling a short drift near the beginning of the track for a couple thousand points. Next, try to get close to the first 3 pylons using 2-3 different drifts at a high speed. After the first hairpin, you'll want around 100,000 points. Continue down the track until the next hairpin where you'll want to pull a long and fast drift near the pylons again. Coming out of the 2nd hairpin, you'll probably want at least 175,000 points. Go straight to the 3rd hairpin as there is no need for some amounts of points in between, and pull another big drift in the hairpin, hopefully exiting with at least 275,000 points. The last part is definitely the hardest, but also the most important. You really need to be fast and time everything perfectly, but remember, you will have lots of flashbacks available. There are a total of 4 pylons in the last few turns, and you'll want to score on all of them if possible. For the first one, maintain good speed and don't cut too close as you're more likely to crash. After scoring, cut back the other way and try to follow the last hairpin as best as you can all the way through. Hopefully, by the time you finish the track, you'll have 350,000 points, but if not, restart before the finish line. Keep restarting until you get the achievement.
This trophy doesn’t need to be achieved in the Career. Simply start a Drift race at Okutama in the Mazda RX-7 (this one felt good for me, maybe you should give it a try if you’re having trouble playing with the R34). Learn the turns, where to brake/handbrake, and keep practising. You will achieve it at some point. Here's a video if you still need help:
