What do you mean, Drift?!
Score at least 1,000,000 points at Okutama Sprint Drift Stage - Full Route
How to unlock the What do you mean, Drift?! achievement in GRID Legends - Definitive Guide
This one is going to be a pain in the rear as the drifting in the game is quite scuffed. You more often than not have to focus on forcing yourself to drift using the handbrake button over naturally being able to slide around like in other drifting games.
The two cars I would recommend in doing this is Silvia (first choice) and the 370Z (second choice), with the 370Z it's smaller meaning you have less chance of accidentally hitting the walls, but it's also more rigid and tougher to drift around. The silvia is longer in length, but easier to slide around.
I would avoid the Viper as it has a tendency to overspin in the hairpins.
In my tuning I set everything to low, apart from the final one which I put one notch above it.
I also had 0 Stability, 0 Traction, but 5 ABS.
I have a video explaining it fully, please let me know if it helps :)

Nope, nothing works. Had to walk away from this one before I completely lose my temper with it.

Thanks, will try using your set up. Had no problem with drifting in the base game but that was on much wider tracks...
Edit: finally did it with 370Z because Silvia was too big for me. Was close to a million 3 times when my first multiplier was x17 before the middle section, so just keep retrying until you make at least x20.

If like me, you really, really couldn’t get to grips with the Nissan Silva or the 350z, the main issue may be the overall speed of the vehicles.
I found this guide and set up with all credit going towards Griffins Gaming Guides for this:
Race Creator:
Discipline: Drift
Class: Clubman Drift
Vehicle: Subaru BRZ Drift-Tuned
Location: Okutama Sprint
Route: Drift Stage - Full Route
Vehicle Tuning:
Gear Ratio: Short
Springs: Soft
Dampers: Soft
Anti-Roll Bars: Soft
Brake Bias: Left 1. Towards Rea
Gameplay Options > Diffcult
Transmission: Automatic
ABS: 5
Traction Control: 0
Stability Control: 0
Drift Mode - Counter Steer Assist: On
Bear with this vehicle, I struggled to bank 15,000 on my first run, 50,000 on the second. By the 5th attempt I was hitting 500,000 and by the 15th I was hitting 850,000.
If you chain your combos well, by the first bridge (32%) You can average around a 20x combo with 30,000 - 40,000 points. (300,000/600,00)
The last tunnel (80%) onwards is where you can make most of your points on this track so without any faults here, you can easily get between 200,000 - 400,000. This achievement takes a lot of patience due to its wonky Drift design!

Since in this mode there is no time limit for completing the route, I advise you to use similar tactics and accumulate the maximum combo.

I did it at the suggestion of Lewis_Rocknrolla, but on the 370Z and the gear ratio to the left all the way because on other cars there was simply not enough acceleration dynamics, I did not have time to get to the next turn and accelerate even with a forced skid on the handbrake to save the multiplier. For me, the advantage of the 370Z was that it was easy to drift a long turn, while other cars either lost a lot of speed because I had to make a smaller angle to get drift points or straighten out for the sake of speed. On this car, drifting is more or less similar to drifting, and not sliding on a handbrake.

The following hint will easily simplify the task:
Set the settings to manual transmission.
Next, we start the race and immediately switch to 4th gear. We no longer increase or decrease.
We do all the drifting in 4th gear.
