How to unlock the For the Time Extend crew! achievement in GRID Legends - Definitive Guide
The Elimination events are Career events marked with an orange X as the logo for the race type. Since you don't have to complete every event to progress you may not encounter them all as you play through and have to go back and finish these up. There are 28 events you need to complete for this achievement.
NOTE 1: There are 2 Ravenwest Challenge Elimination events under Rookie GRID Challenges, TC-500 and Racing Trucks. They are DLC related and will not even unlock unless you have the DLC, BUT they are not required for this achievement.
NOTE 2: The two Sponsor Events will not unlock until you complete the objectives for their listed sponsor. Go to the 'Team' tab, select Sponsor and find either Equita or Concordia and select them as your sponsor. You can see the objectives needed for each one. Once you have completed all three objectives, the event will unlock and you can change your Sponsor to the other one. If you don't see them both, you will need to upgrade your 'Mechanic Development' first (under Sponsor on the team tab). Go to Mechanic Development, and under Old Master (the purplish pink columns), the first column is Sponsorship Offers. Just buy the upgrades until the missing Sponsor appears. (I think Equita is there from the beginning and Concordia appears after an upgrade, but I'm not sure)
You don't have to come in first in every event, just satisfy the completion requirement which isn't always 'come in 1st'. If you are doing this on Easy, it shouldn't be an issue, but if you want to do it on harder difficulties pay attention to the finish position you need for it to count as passed.
Here is a checklist of required events. Some of these events will require you to complete other events before they unlock. Just set the difficulty to Easy and cruise your way to victory.

Fantastic guide! It can be a bit tricky especially with the DLC but this will definitely clear stuff up for future cheevo hunters :)

Glad you eventually got the trophy. I thought delayed unlocks were only on xbox.

I didn't get the trophy after completing all the Elimination events, but restarting the game helped me get the trophy. I play on PS4 Slim, game version 6.01

It is not necessary to win all events, the main thing is that when selecting a race, there is a checkmark on the right indicating that the race conditions have been met, for example, “Finish the event in 3rd place or higher.” Also, if there are two or three stages in an event, you can win one, and leave the race at the rest, if there are enough points to fulfill the conditions, if not enough, even after defeat, the last race can be restarted. Here is a list of all the routes.

The trophy may be bugged and not drop after completing all the necessary races. What helped me was closing the game via the PS button and restarting, it fell out when loading into the menu.
