Good guide but it could use a little more. Like what discipline/class/track to use etc. I know that these things are “common sense” but you know that you’ll get those that come to your solution looking for this stuff because they can’t figure it out for themselves, see it’s not there so either just leave or leave with a downvote. Just saying/trying to be helpful

There are 3 GT1 class cars; Lotus Elise GT1, Panoz GTR-1 and the Porsche 911 GT1. In order to unlock the tier 3 upgrades you need to accumulate 56 kms on each car. The quickest way to do this is to go into Race Creator and create the following session;
Discipline - Circuit Racing
Class - GT1
Vehicles - any option
Location - Indianapolis
Route - Oval Circuit
Conditions - Sunny
Laps - 14
Drivers - any option
It will take 11-12 minutes per car.

Hi!thanks for the Tipps,however in my game it says I need 80 km/h to unlock tier 3 gear so it should be 20 laps :)

This must be glitched. I unlocked all the upgrades for all 3 cars - No achievement.
I then brought all the upgrades for all 3 cars - Still no achievement.

Simply set up a quick race at Indianapolis speedway.
You need to travel 35 miles in each of the GT1 cars (x3).
Unlocked when I retired the race after hitting 35miles in my 3rd GT1 car.

This is not as daunting as it sounds. There are only 3 cars classed as GT1 in the game. They are the Panoz GTR-1, the Porsche 911 GT-1 and the Lotus Elise GT-1. The Panoz and the Lotus are unlocked through gameplay but you can buy the Porsche once you have the credits. Once you have them open, just get each one to do 50 miles. Easy way to do this is the Race Creator. Do 20 laps of Indianapolis Oval Circuit and you'll unlock level 3 upgrades. Cars this fast will clear this race in less than 20 mins meaning that in 1 hour of gameplay you'll get your trophy.

Thanks, this helped.
Just to add, if you have the mechanics pass then the requirements to upgrade are shortened throughout the game. So here it would be 35 miles to level 3, rather than 50 miles.

You need to get 3 cars:
- Lotus Elise GT1 and Panoz GTR-1 are given for completing a career in the professional league, GT section for the first and second race;
- Porsche 911 GT1 is purchased for 133,000 credits (price without discount).
Then you can choose these cars to rack up kilometers in other career competitions or create an oval at Daytona.
