Set a lap time on Crescent Valley: GP Circuit with the Aston Martin Vulcan AMR Pro lower than 1.40,6.

The best way to do this is in free play where you can turn the AI off.
The achievement unlocks instantly after you beat the time.

You can look up the objectives in the menu (Player Profile -> Objectives).

Hello, if this will help anyone in the near future, just like you I was personally struggling with this one for a bit. Eventually, what worked for me was a YouTuber by the name of
"Alex-B Racing" showed their setup and racing line that I tried my best to mimick on my own. I know people will go through these comments trying different options but this one in particular worked for me to be able to get a 1.39.221 time. I've also attached the link for reference to the video.

Video URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipay3bmB0F8

Car Tune:
Gear Ratio- Default
Springs- MAX Softness
Dampners- MAX Softness
Anti-Roll Bars- One click Firmer than Default

ABS- 4
Traction Control- 0
Stability Control- 0

I also turned on infinite flashbacks, automatic transmission and the racing line always "ON"

I hope this helps someone out and ALL credit goes to Alex-B Racing! Good Luck!!!

I just did it. First try, second lap. 1.38.440
Gt: Hiypher
Settings were: No tuning, Abs 5, Tcr 0, and Stc 0
Racing line corners only
Either I'm a god or this isnt as hard as people think it is.

Proof? But GG anyway. I try it later again and maybe I'm lucky lmao. Thanks for the setup tips.

Edit. I did 1:40.1 like a breeze with abs 5 and the rest on 1 with just one increase on the transmission bar. Maybe that helps some people.

Credit to Jemjar on Reddit for this:
What I will say, having spent an hour trying various setups and approaches until I saw this post: turning off TCS and SBC is really important.
I'd been using 2/2/2 for driver aids and struggling to beat the 1:41 mark, as soon as I switched to 3/1/1 I went faster and when I switched to 2/0/0 I unlocked the achievement like you, on my second lap. So much of the lap is spent toying with the limits of traction while cornering at speed that the driver aids really slow the car down.

The problem with turning TCS and sbc is the car is a load of crap around corners all it does is spin out.

Gotta turn off the nannies and just finesse it the old school way. Git gud

Is 200+ laps enough practice?
Either way I can't shave off that last half a second. I'm probably going to call it a day on this one now. The only consolation is that I won't have to spend another 75 hours driving laps around an oval for the "Around the Globe" achievement to get my completion.

Edit: So I decided to stick with it and give it another go today. I used the settings that Racer 6981 listed in the post above mine and that worked for me. 1:40.300 was my final time.

Easily my most difficult racing achievement. I tried all the recommended settings from the racers above. What worked for me was ABS: 2, TRC: 0, STC: 1 finally got it at 1:40.57 Now I can actually enjoy the rest of the game. By the way, Gear ratio; standard.

Jk the rewind option is pointless every time I use it to correct a mistake or beat a section it makes it worse especially the section 2 bloody stupid having it on a bend.

The car is really easy to control around corners once you realize it's all about finesse with braking/accelerating. You have to be gentle with the triggers. Completely pressing them down will always lead to spin outs, but when you find the right pressure it's very smooth. Due to this, I get the feeling the time was set with a wheel setup in mind, not a controller.

Curbing should be used to your advantage as well.

Finally did this with ClassyWings settings and by trying to replicate the line taken in the video as much as I could. You really have to keep it 4th gear for a lot of the "slow" corners, never touch the brakes except for the obvious heavy braking zones, and really cut the curbs as much as you can as well as finding the timing for turning into a corner.

Also, and this might not be for everyone but using the hood cam helped me steer into corners easier. Still took lots of practice.

1:40.601... Lol. I ended up getting it a few laps later. I used the following:
The only tuning I did was one tick to the right for transmission.
ABS: 0
TC: 3
SC: 3

I set the springs a little softer, so the box is more stable and doesn't drift as quickly.

I set all driving aids to 1 and was able to achieve a time of 1:39:530

Thanks for the tips, beat my own time with 3 seconds +1. Still a second off though... Gotta keep practicingroll

Edit: Got it now!!toast Some tweaks though which worked for me: Gears: one notch further. ABS at 5 Traction 2 and Stability at 1

Having the assists on or off doesn't make a blind bit of difference, I'm about a second too slow each lap either way.

Everyone that has difficulty just needs to practice and keep practicing.

Edit: UNLOCKED at 1:40.598 - how lucky!!

Decided to change the settings a bit. Settings used: ABS 5 Traction 1 Stability 1

Automatic gears.

One increase to the right on the gear ratio bar, I kept everything else the same on the tuning screen.

Spent at least 12 hours trying for this one, and safe to say I had a wheely bad time in the process lol.

Stick at it and good luck!

One tip that might help - keep an eye on your split times, and spam/stack the rewind functions once you get a good split on a sector (make sure you set Flashbacks to Infinite in the Difficulty settings). You should aim for 0:24.600 or less at the first split, 1:02.3 or less at the second.

If you get a good time on sector 1 but are down at split 2, rewind - once the rewind is done you can wait a second or two and rewind again to go even further back. I was able to rewind from the start/finish line all the way back to split one. It also helped me to turn off the "Racecraft Notifications" setting in the OSD section so all that popped up was the split times.

My difficulty settings were 3/0/0, and my tuning was: Gear all the way right, Springs 1 to the right, Dampers middle, Antiroll bars 1 to the left, and Brake Bias middle. I managed a 1:40.54 and I know I left at least 2 or 3 tenths on the table in the last sector.

Good luck!

Managed to grab this with a final time of 1:39.900. Took about 80 minutes. Was all over the place and struggled to be under 1:43.500 at the beginning of my runs. Here are the settings I got it with:
ABS: 0
Traction: 0
Stability: 0
Transmission: Semi-Automatic

Car Tuning:
Gear: +1
Springs: -2
Dampers: -2
Anti-Roll: +1
Brake Bias: 0

Tried to grab 24.200 and 1:02.500 as my split times and heavily relied on Rewind in a few corners. Car takes some getting used to, and this achievement seemed impossible but remembered how Codemasters tends to do things. You go WAY faster with certain settings. Not NEARLY as hard as the Yas Marina achievement in Dirt Rally 2, but still very satisfying.

This was by far the best tuning setup i used. I spent hours looking at other people's when when i nearly lost my sh*t and just decided to go full grip. This is the only setup that allowed me to use the rumble strips at the edge of the track and not completely spin out. Anyway hopefully this can help some people.

Gear Ratio +2 (Long)
Springs +2 (Firm)
Dampers +2 (Firm)
Anti-Roll Bars +2 (Firm)
Brake Bias 0 (Middle)

ABS - 5
Traction Control - 5
Stability Control - 5

Edit: decided to change my solution a bit since I got my first downvote and it hurt my feelings

I used this tune setup and managed to get a time of 1:40:236. TR&ST on 3 worked best for me, I was able to drive on edge without drifting or spinning out in every corner. Having them on higher restrains the car too much.

Gear Ratio: +2 Long
Springs: +2 Firm
Dampers: +2 Firm
Anti-Roll Bars: +2 Firm
Brake Bias: 0 Middle

Transmission: Automatic
ABS: 4
Traction: 3
Stability: 3

Here's my lap:

For this trophy you need to beat a time of 01:40:600 with:

Track: Crescent Valley – GP Circuit
Vehicle: Aston Martin Vulcan AMR Pro (Category: Seasons, Class: Track Day GT)

Recommended vehicle settings:

Gear Ratio +1
Springs +2
Dampers +2
Anti-roll +1
Brake Bias 0

This is the hardest trophy in the entire list from the base game and DLC. You'll want to follow the driving line fairly strictly but hit the corners more aggressively than you've probably been used to from the rest of the game. You're looking at a pretty strict lap time to beat which doesn't allow too much room for error. Saying that with some practice this trophy really is not a comparison to challenges from other driving games such as GT & DriveClub. This is potentially going to take you 10+ laps to achieve but each lap you're likely to see some extra time shaved off so stick with it.
