How to unlock the Embrace New Foes achievement in Grim Dawn: Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide
When first entering Barrowholm, you will be asked to speak with Scorv Egdenor. During the conversation with him you will be able to choose whether or not you want to remain friendly with the people of Barrowholm. The dialogue options are very obvious so just make sure to not click through anything quickly.
The best option for completing this and some other achievements on one single character would be to remain Friendly with them on Normal and Elite difficulty. That way you can go through their questline and gain the rep needed to reach Revered. By the time you have gotten back to Barrowholm on Ultimate difficulty you will more than likely have reached Revered with Barrowholm. If you are close but haven't reached Revered yet, you can run bounties to finish it up.
On Ultimate, you can choose to not be friendly with the people of Barrowholm. This will drop your rep with them, so make sure to buy any of the augments or other items for reaching Revered with Barrowholm prior to doing this. You could also just create a new character and run through the game up until that point, but it's possible to do both on one single character.
