GRIS

This is the 'trickiest' achievement in the game and also missable. To unlock it you have to avoid being bitten once in both Eel encounters in the Water chapter. This is a mandatory encounter immediately after the following story achievement, so you won't miss the opportunity:



Once you've gotten the above achievement, prepare for a boss-style chase with a massive eel. Not being bitten requires timing, as you need to time your boost (A Button) as the Eel is about to bite you. Spam too much, and you'll be in a cool down when you need it and get bit. You know you've voided this if Gris does a forward spin/head-over-heel roll.

Fortunately, there are two key hints that make the super easy:

1 - The Eel will do two distinguishable bite types - a small, 'nip' bite, and a big, 'windup' bite where the eel holds its mouth open for several seconds before biting down. You do not need to attempt to dodge the small bites these, Gris will automatically evade these. The big bites are the ones you must dodge.

2 - To dodge a big bite consistently, be patient and do not boost as it's mouth remains open. Just before doing its big bite, the eel will do a minor mouth movement, almost like a fake-out feint. Dodge now. The eel will do its actual bite a split second after this, and you'll be clear of danger.

With these two tips, you should get the achievement pretty easily. I've also outlined the order of the bites in each stage, as it isn't random. Note that if you do get bit for any reason (remember, Gris will action roll forward) to quit to menu immediately and restart. In Stage 1, you'll annoyingly have to go through the yellow colour cutscene again.

This 1st stage is over when you're at the long, dark, winding path with jellyfish lighting the way. There is a memento here. Then, swim down once out of this path, and the Eel will snap at you and initiative Stage 2 (this snap does not count as a bite, do not worry).

Chapter 4 part 2. You will encounter the eel 2 times and you will have to avoid 6 big bites (small bites does not matter).

The eel will open its mouth, watch out for a fake bite and as he does that press A to boost and avoid the actual boost.

Here is a time saving tip.
If you keep the last 2nd memento unpicked which located in a hidden path among the 1st and 2nd eel encounter, and you are super sure you haven’t been bitten once during 1st encounter, you can pick that memento and once you failed your 2nd encounter just quit to the main menu and restart again, you will find you skipped the annoying cut sense and whole 1st encounter. I tried this and the achievement popped for me.
