I'm assuming you already have the Oven (Unlocked from the Haze Lab BURG.L chip) and the Termite Mound BURG.L chip (That unlocks Jewel creation)

The first 5 upgrades can be done with Quartzite Shards and 6 & 7 with Quartzite Globs with the Smithing Station (BURG.L 2500rs). Using Quartzite because it is the easiest of the 4 resources to gather.

Easy Quartzite farm under the Oak Lab. There are only 3 Warrior Red Ants to contend with and you get about 90+ each run. You have to go down there regularly anyways to do BURG.L's quests. Just jump through the busted wall next to BURG.L and work your way through to the ant mound entrance.



To get the final 2 upgrades for your preferred weapon you will need Twinkling Shells from the new Scarab beetles to make Quartzite Jewels. These are small Shiny green beetles that flee when they see you. The good news is that the new resource scanner in the field stations will show you where they are in real time. Just mark on the map where they are and approach cautiously. When you get within 100cm, save. That way if you screw up you can try again.

WARNING: When you reload a save they will be in the same location but take a different path then before. You will know if you screwed up if the marker on the map vanishes. It will take awhile to vanish if you do successfully kill it.

Scarabs make a skittering noise when they are close. Try to attack from behind. Best weapon to kill them with is an upgraded Crossbow with Splinter Arrows.

There is a backpack with 5 shells in it on the outside of the woodpile. With these you will only need 10 more to get the achievement.

Scarabs drop 2 to 5 per kill. Average is 3.

It is better to focus on an armor upgrade, at the last 2 upgrades, is easier to catch some pupas than twink shells.

Choose one piece of armor to upgrade if you are just seeking out this achievement.

For previous levels you Will need a lot of grub hides, berries and sap also.

*With the update of the completed game (1.0), the process to upgrade has been changed. Now to get the armor or weapon stronger you need to transform 3 tiers of marble and quartizite in another material. But still, if the achievement works for both, weapon and armor, It is better to choose an armor because the weapon demands more resource and oven to reach the highest level of upgrade.
