How to unlock the Mini Mix-a-lot achievement in Grounded - Definitive Guide
There are a total of 8 MIX.R in Grounded. I'll list some tips to start and then the location, what mobs spawn (and their weaknesses), and a map location image. I’ll list the MIX.Rs in order of easiest to hardest IMO.
This MIX.R is right next to the red ant hill in the central Grasslands. I suggest knocking down a lot of the grass around this one as it will make it easier to see the mobs coming.
Mobs:
Lawn Mite (Chopping / Stabbing)
Red Soldier Ant (Stabbing / Spicy)
Red Worker Ant (Stabbing / Spicy)
Haze (Reward 2000 RS)
The Haze MIX.R is in the back under the porch. You should be able to see where mobs are coming from as the area is pretty open.
Mobs:
Infected Mite (Chopping / Fresh / Slashing)
Infected Ladybug (Busting / Fresh)
Infected Larva (Fresh / Slashing)
Infected Weevil (Fresh / Salty / Spicy)
Hedge (Reward 2000 RS):
This MIX.R is in the hedge in the north corner on the ground. There are a bunch of leaves around when make it hard to see but you should be able to see if you stand on top of one.
Mobs:
Larva (Spicy)
Orb Weaver (Spicy)
Orb Weaver Jr. (Spicy)
Northern Grasslands (Reward 2000 RS):
This is the first one with Flying creatures. Make sure you build a roof on top and a trampoline so you can get up top quickly if needed.
Mobs:
Black Soldier Ant (Stabbing / Spicy)
Mosquito (Chopping / Fresh / Slashing)
Sandbox (Reward 2000 RS):
I would suggest doing this one at night so you don’t have to deal with the sun and the sizzle.
Mobs:
Antilon (Slashing / Salty)
There will be a lot of ants on this one. So make sure you setup a good defense.
Mobs:
Fire Soldier Ant (Fresh)
Fire Worker Ant (Fresh)
Roly Poly (Busting / Fresh / Salty / Spicy)
Upper Grasslands [Under the Lawnmower] (Reward 4000 RS):
Don’t worry about anything coming from behind you as there is a wall.
Mobs:
Fire Soldier Ant (Fresh)
Fire Worker Ant (Fresh)
Roly Poly (Busting / Fresh / Salty / Spicy)
Moldorc Highlands (Reward 4000 RS):
This one is pretty rough. Not only do you have to deal with the Tiger Mosquitos but the ticks are small and have a decent amount of health. I only had 1 Green Shield bug spawn near the end. Make sure to build a rough again for the Mosquitos.
Mobs:
Green Shield Bug (Stabbing / Fresh)
Tick (Spicy)
Tiger Mosquito (Chopping / Fresh / Slashing)
Tips:
- I suggest doing this in a group. some of them can be done solo, but it will be much easier with a group.
- Palisades are your friend. Even some cheap grass walls can delay the mobs long enough so that you can have the chance to kill them.
- When you start the MIX.R you can’t repair it so make sure that you have it fully repaired before starting
- The MIX.Rs that have flying creatures (Mosquitos) make sure you build a roof over the MIX.R
- Remember that Infected Ladybugs shoot “bombs” out so I would suggest fighting them away from the MIX.R or at least kiting them away.
- The mobs will always come from the same area in the same pattern. So if you fail they will always come in the same order from the same directions.
- Start during the daylight so that you can see the mobs.
- Clear out the area when you first arrive of any grass or other plants so you can see and they won’t get in the way of fighting.
- Make a quick tent and set your spawn point so if you do die you can hop right back into the action.

Ok FuzzyRabidDogg has an amazing guide! Seriously, I used his to have a good idea of what I was in for on each, and I decided to tackle the hardest ones first and work my way down the ladder. That way when I deconstructed my fortifications and moved them to the next one, I needed less materials with each mixer. My guide/guidance below is more of a strategy addition/thoughts:
1. You are fighting a clock here not killing every bug so pick a strategy approach for doing this that works for you and/or seems the most fun.
2. Save your game right before you start the mix'r fight. If you lose, you can just reload and add on to your fortifications. I would do this after building my first enclosure around the mixer and then adding a few grids of mushroom/wood half walls around it, so that I could see if that was enough, and if not where the bugs came from so I know where to focus my fortifications, to buy time.
3. Approach 1: build fortification and run around defending/killing bugs:
With this approach I suggest you build a full height mushroom wall box surrounding the mixer (leave 1 wall unfinished so that you can go inside activate the mixer, and then climb out finish that wall and seal it up prior to fighting bugs. If you know there are flying bugs put a wood floor on top of it, then build a clover/feather ramp roof all the way around it. I did corners on my boxes so I have a pyramid that had 1 layer of clover roof ramps so that it was easy for me to jump on and run up for defense, but did not touch the ground.
Next build a grid of connected half wall mushroom boxes all the way around your box base. You can then split each of those boxes in half with another half wall giving you an extra layer of protection. Honestly this should be more than enough for all of the regular mixers. For the super mixers you can do 2 or 3 half walls of grass or twigs (whichever is more abundant in the area) or an additional mushroom grid if you have the factory. I built a factory in the middle of the map over the pond with ziplines that made the whole overall game easy for me.
4. Approach 2: build a mushroom box around the mixer (I would make it big enough that you have space inside to easily run around in a circle around inside. build a twig floor on the ground so that it is easy for you to run around and repair all the walls and easily reach the roof and repair it as well. You only need a roof for mixers with flying bugs, but I'd suggest just doing another twig floor so that it is flat and easy to reach/repair, and it is tough enough to last while you are repairing other things and doing that juggle. (I have not yet proven this approach, but I plan to give it a go on the next regular mixer and see how it goes so that I can update this section of my guide. This is an easy time clock approach in case you are struggling with any one of these. But I think it is less fun, and you do not get the added benefit of harvesting more bug parts from your slaying...but hey whatever gets the job done it's all good.
5. Equipment: Full suite of Level 9 black ox armor
Sour Battle-axe upgraded to level 7 (this is my primary, because it slays on multiple mobs and almost every bug is affected by sour.)
salt morning star upgraded to level 7 (great for anything weak to salt as it is fairly fast and stuns good.)
Tier 2 Hammer ugraded to FRESH level 7 (this is for roly poly mostly)
Tier 3 Crossbow upgraded to Level 7 (get the attention of flying bugs off of your roof)
Rusty Spear Level 7 (fresh for mosquitos, larvae, dust mites, plus it works in water unlike many other weapons)
I have 3 more of the regular mixers to go, and it should be a cake walk, and expect to be done in the next day or so. Anyway I hope this is helpful ideas/suggestions for someone, I welcome any feedback to improve.

That's a good point, and thanks btw. I didn't play on woah, simply because there wasn't an achievement for it...yet. You also do start earning Raw Science sooner so that's another plus to doing them sooner. The easier Mix.Rs are much less difficult than the Super ones so should be easy enough w/ lower tier gear. It's all good no matter how you approach it time wise (Early/Mid/Late) game anyway.

I had the same notion as you; play hardest first then work down but it fails with Moldorc on Woah. So aside from your excellent guide with regards to weapon choices and defences I would say:
Start with the EASIEST FIRST. Why?
Because:
1) It gets players that are new to Mix.R defences used to the format of play and the timer.
2) It gets players used to the attack patterns and frequency of the spawning mobs.
3) I did the first 3 without defences on Woah (Grass/Haze/Sandbox) using similar weapons to you. But build defences if it serves you better. Successes early on will give confidence to continue...
4) By doing easiest 5 first you will trigger the Guard Dog mutation to Lv 2. This will add 25% damage across the board which will help enormously with the harder defences.
5) Whatever you do leave Moldorc to last. It's hands down the hardest challenge and by practicing on easier levels you'll be less disillusioned by failing to such a hard challenge. The ticks are incredibly tanky on Woah and even a Lv 9 Spicy Termite axe struggles with them. You will need optimised weapons, matched mutations and strats to kill them as quickly as you can...
