How to unlock the The Best Part of Waking Up achievement in Grounded - Definitive Guide
This is story related, but extremely hard if your doing this alone or with just one other person.
Pretty much have to defend 3 stations(A,B&C) while the cocktail brews. But the enemies come in huge waves...I mean hugeeeee waves.
The easiest way to do this, is to build walls/floors around the stations. Not only the stations, but we built an entire circle around the whole area(think Attack on Titan lol). The more walls/floors etc up, the more the enemies will spawn and attack the structures rather than the stations.
Communication is key. If your dealing with A, make sure your buddy is either doing B or C. Once A is clear, check the opposite one your buddy is doing.
Take out Ox Beetles/Bombardier's asap. Watch out for Firefly's goo(makes you slow). Tiger Mosquitos can be a little annoying but as long as you cover the entire station up they shouldn't be too much trouble.
Underneath where the cocktail is brewing is a lab with tons of materials and mushroom bricks(I made walls of this first, then grass walls in front as another barrier.)
We got destoryed 3x(I mean absolutely WRECKED) before we did the above^, cleared the mission with B only taking a few hits.

I was able to do this solo on the first try, but only because I did what I thought was excessively over-prepared.
I built two layers of mushroom walls two block high around each module, with a two layer grass floor on top to serve as a ceiling. There’s a large toadstool spawn in the ravine next to this, so you’ll have plenty of mushroom access to make these bricks. You’ll need a grinder to turn them into slurry and an oven to bake the slurry into bricks. There are a few stacks of mushroom bricks in the storage room, but nowhere near enough for my set up. I think I had about 15 stacks of 35 bricks that I burned through for this. Like I said, excessive.
Most of the enemies that spawn are weak to Fresh, so I almost exclusively used the Mint Mace. Black Ox Beetles are weak to Salty, but the Mace still works great against them. Bombardiers, Dust Mites, Tiger Mosquitos, and Fire Ants are all weak to Fresh so they will melt before your might. I didn’t bother with turrets, I just ran around crushing with my mace. The enemies tend not to target you, so you won’t need much health recovery. There are plenty of smoothies in the storage area though, so have them in hand in case. My primary weapon in normal play is a Tiger Mosquito Rapier, so I used that if I ever needed an HP boost. The life steal is very handy.
Even with my double wall setup, the fire ants chewed through both walls on the far side of C and did about 1/3 of the health damage to the module. A and B didn’t take any damage, but A did lose one of the two wall layers.

I don’t know how they expect anyone to finish this game solo with this. The difficulty curve on this is insane, even on mild.

If you play co-op, this is doable on Medium. If you play solo, you might need to switch to Mild.
I usually play Medium but I swallowed my pride and switched to Mild and it was extremely easy. Like Wendell suggests build a mushroom wall around A, B, and C. He will provide you with building materials, health and food in a lab underneath the coffee pot table. I recommend bringing more mushrooms than what he provides. I would focus primarily on A and C because B wasn’t as much of a target in my playthrough. A will get most attention from the big bugs and flying bugs. C will get attacked by ants and dust mites. Consider building double layer walls.
Press start on the cocktail (2nd time) and in about 30 seconds they will attack. In the first half you’ll encounter at least 1 ox beetle, 1 ladybird, 2 bombardiers, 1 tiger mosquito, multiple fire ants and multiple dust mites. Don’t worry about any ants that don’t have the ORC devices on their heads. Don’t forget to heal and prioritize defense when the actual mixr are being attacked, the mushroom walls can wait and they are there to stall the bugs.
Around the 50% mark you’ll get a slight breather but you obviously can’t save or repair anything. Heal here.
In the last section you’ll get swarmed by 2 or 3 ox beetles and at one point there will be an ox beetle, ladybird and bombardier at the same time which is where I got killed in Medium. There might be one more tiger mosquito and those suck because they can skip your brick walls and go straight to the mixr but if you shoot them with an arrow they’ll get distracted and attack you.
Once it’s done brewing you’ll get the achievement. Don’t forget to scavenge ox and ladybird part and go grab your cocktail from inside the coffee pot
