How to unlock the POWER UP! achievement in GROW UP - Definitive Guide

There is a total of 150 crystals to find. Since there are no levels or checkpoints, I have broken the map down into areas around the telerouters. I recommend unlocking all of your abilities to get the glider and the crystal locator. The locator will add a signal bar in the bottom right-hand corner that fills up as you get closer to a crystal.

Below, I've included a list of the 29 telerouters that I use, the number of crystals found in each area, and the timestamp to find it all in the video. Please, let me know if you have any questions or if you find a mistake.

Happy Hunting!

lilyhello202 try "path to the moon" as stated in the comments above beyond that, there's really no way to help you with this, if it's not on the path to the moon, you'll simply have to go through the guide step by step as there's absolutely NO way of telling where you've missed one roll Good luck wave

Let me start by saying thanks a lot toast for this amazing & thorough guide & give an advice to any one who (like me) is missing that last crystal/POD challenge... Apparently it is possible to get the "All Telerouters" achievement without actually having found them all roll (might be caused by the one in moms ship IDK) but that last location called "Outer Asteroids" is actually located ABOVE the moon, just look for the asteroid belt, start flying towards it & you'll see the flashing light from the final telerouter, good luck wave

Thanks for the guide, I know it probably took hours.
I think I won the crystal lottery, I clicked randomly on the timeline of the video towards the end and it was the summit crystal... The 1 I needed!

Thank you for this! I used the detector and the comments to get 149 but then spent way too long flying around fruitlessly without any sign from the detector that I was even close. Finally while loosely following this video I got a signal and I had been missing #58 near Windy Watchtowers/Beachview.

I found the "Path to the Moon" section most helpful. I was down to four remaining and they were all in that section, as they're the only ones out of teletrouter ping range. Thank you!

Very good guide, even taking a second to look around when exiting the map to show you where you should be. +1 from me my friend.

I agree totally with the path to the moon. I followed the starplant down...then just free fell...found the two I needed. After checking each telerouter and getting no pings.

found my last one completely randomly... no clue where it was in the guide as its pretty darn close to beachview but that isnt where FredintheHead lumped it in... "I really suggest to anyone with under 5 left to start at summit, then path to the moon these crystals seem to be the most off the radar from a telerouter" as was the last one o found by luck and once i picked up its signal it was an easy spot but if you have one left after doing the the path to the moon and the summit id go here and fly over the islands left and low of beachview carefully.

After you've completed the story, or once you've obtained all of the abilities you will have the glider and crystal detector. The glider allows you to easily reach far away places which are around the same level or below your altitude. The crystal detector uses a distance level bar similar to a network connection bar on a phone to show you how close you are to crystals in the area.

Use a variety of useful plants to reach the crystals. Pollen shooting floraforms allow you to reach large heights. The ground based flowers are found very easily. You get one near the start of the game. There are other more powerful ones like the Splocket, Gloweaf and Starfloot, which shoot you even higher. Plants like the trebouquet launch you with a parabolic trajectory. The flungus provides provides you with a smaller horizontal throw. Heliconica makes its own air current for you to ride. This provides a slow and steady lift, so that you have enough to react, move around and avoid bouncing off of your target. It's useful for gems which are under rocks, where letting go will make you fall away from your intended target. If you have to go straight across water, then bobblers are perfect. They float like lilypads, allowing you to cross water without having to risk falling in it. Flightbulbs are plants which grow bubbles which slowly and steadily lift you upwards, while also allowing you to ascend for a long time before they pop, around the kind of increase in altitude which sporchids give you. Sporchids give you quick altitude gains of up to around 400m. Use two a more stable, quicker and larger climb.

Use other guides to obtain crystal locations. FredInTheHead provides a Youtube video by Mindless Walkthroughs with timestamps to the moments when the player visits each of the 29 teleporters. Most of the crystals are located close to the teleporters or at locations which aren't too difficult to access from them. Visit each one and look for crystals around them. Some may be above or below your location. Others may also be around an island. Use plants that fling you or flowers that blast you upwards to gain altitude or quickly cross islands. Combinations of the glider and air brake allow you to access hard-to-reach locations. Use these, and various plants to move vertically and revolve around areas to find crystals. When you remove a crystal while both hands are grabbing it, you'll detach from the surface in which it was rooted. Make sure you quickly glide back to the surface using the glider or airbrake if you want to stay and collect more crystals or use this altitude level to reach another location. Crystals can be organized by altitude. You can start high, and glide or fall to each one. You can also collect them from the bottom to the top of an area if you have the right plants and geography around you.

DantheWhale pointed out, "There is also a crystal on the outer asteroids if there is one crystal you are missing." If you're missing a crystal or have only a few left to find, search this location, as it's easy to miss. Use another guide or video to find the location of it.

Keep collecting crystals until you have all 150 to unlock the achievement. As you collect them, you obtain more power bars, which lets you throw larger groups of seeds and use thrust for longer. The achievement counter goes up by 1 percent for every 1.5 gems found, so 3 gems will make it go up by 2 percent.

There are 150 crystals scattered throughout the planetoid (and above). They are white luminescent rocks that hang from flying rocks, ceilings, walls and come from the ground. When BUD approaches one, you can start hearing a sparkling humm that comes from them.

They look like this:

To get this trophy you need to collect all 150 crystals and, to do this, it's imperative you get the Crystal Radar ability. The last one is unlocked when finding Ability Pods. An Ability Pod has a BUD face on top of it. Use POD's Vision, and one of them is difficult to get until you've collected enough crystals to unlock the Jetpack and Glide (which, in turn, you get by collecting 40 and 60 crystals, respectively).

You can identify an ability pod (or TUB) by this icon:

Collect the crystals you can, but don't get too obsessed with it at first. If you see you're not progressing through the game, start collecting more. Some abilities make it easier (specially the crystal radar).

After collecting most of them, start flying/gliding around. When you radar picks a signal, swoop the area to find it. Some of them are harder to find than others, specially because they are inside caverns or under arches. In this case, if you don't find a crystal at first, use POD's vision, then slightly adjust its zoom while scanning the area. You can see inside almost all things on the game, and can see where's the crystal in question.

There are a total of 150 crystals scattered across the planet that need to be collected. To collect them, you have to grab them with  and . In addition to the achievement, collecting crystals grants you set upgrades, which you'll definitely want to get as early as possible to make traveling, completing challenges, and collecting more crystals even easier. Here are the upgrades you'll unlock:

10 crystals - a second battery
20 crystals - a stronger jetpack
30 crystals - a third battery
40 crystals - double ball charge speed
60 crystals - glider booster
80 crystals - a fourth battery
100 crystals - full strength jetpack
150 crystals - unlimited battery power

To check your progress, press the menu button and then press  to go to game stats. This will show how many crystals you've collected and which upgrades you've unlocked.

To make finding them easier, once you collect all of the abilities, the last one will be a crystal radar of sorts, which has a signal bar that increases as you get closer to a crystal to help you locate them. Five bars means you're very close to a crystal. Here's how I recommend finding them:

1) First is to do everything else in the game such as collecting ship parts, abilities, activating telerouters, etc. Collect any crystals you come across along the way, allowing you to put a dent in the total and unlock a couple upgrades along the way.

2) Once you've gotten at least the third battery, a jetpack upgrade, and the glider boost, which you'll have when you get 60 crystals, you can easily complete all of the POD challenges. So make your way to each POD challenge but be sure to collect any nearby crystals in the process. Doing these two things together will make the final crystal hunt much easier.

3) Once you've finished all of the POD challenges and every other achievement, you should have well over 100 crystals collected so now it's time to mop up. Travel to each telerouter. When you spawn, if your crystal radar shows a signal, open up your world view map and use it to scan the area looking for nearby crystals. While POD technically can't see crystals in caves, that's not completely true. Most of the time you can zoom in through the platform or ground and see inside the cave, and often you'll be able to see the crystal, or the game will even indicate there is a crystal there with the little box and/or the word "crystal" on screen. Collect all the crystals you can by warping to each of the telerouters and repeating this step. Sometimes it's more efficient just to jump around to see which direction increases the signal of your crystal radar, but sometimes you can spot the crystals easier with your map.

By the time I finished all of these steps above, I had found all of the crystals. By that I mean none of them were far enough away from telerouters that I couldn't see them on my radar when I warped there. That being said, here are a few out of the way crystal locations:

- there is one crystal next to the Outer Asteroid telerouter, which is on an asteroid way out on the outer asteroid belt, which you can get to by gliding there from the moon
- there are two crystals on the moon
- there are 4-5 crystals in and around the base of the final Starplant that takes you to the moon. A few are in caves around this island, and a couple are outside on the island itself
- the ice mountain area, which is on the edge of the map so it's hard to look around it with your map, has 4-5 crystals around the ground and on platforms around the mountain

We get all the abilities and at the end there will be the ability Crystal Sensor

You shouldn’t bother with a targeted search for crystals until you get a crystal detector. It will help you search for locations much faster with an accuracy of up to hundreds of meters; after the fifth stick appears on the detector, turn on POD vision and calculate the location of the crystal in map mode. The difficulty will be caused by those that are located in caves and hidden from view, but as a rule they can be identified by the inscription, and then by placing a mark you can find a specific place, because all caves are visible through. This must be used wisely
