Given the mechanics of this game and the fact that there's a tutorial on how to shield against arrow attacks when archer enemies are introduced, one would be lead to believe that in order to obtain this achievement, you need to deflect/defend against 30 arrow attacks. This is not the case. I beat the entire game deflecting every arrow that was shot at me, including the ones shot by the boss, and I did not get this achievement. After attempting to farm this achievement on an earlier level and deleting my save data, I found out that in order to acquire this achievement, you simply need to defend while enemies walk into you 30 times. You can get this as early as Level 2 with the sole enemy on the level. Just walk up to the enemy while holding and the achievement should pop in less than a minute. Easy peasy.
