Never mind. I had to go to dashboard and delete my save and replay the first bit.

3 times and no achievement. Ive deleted my save in game and dashboard and still nothing

Yeah I can't get any achievement in this game... Tried both the save achievement and this several times. Shit.

Spoilers ahead?
I started a game in the first slot and did not get this but went on to get the Flawless achievement. Started a game in the second slot to get the "Next-gen!!" achievement and proceeded until I wore the mask and it popped. FWIW, you may need to get some other achievement first or start a second game save. Hope this helps.
