How to unlock the Chanteuse achievement in Guitar Hero 5 - Definitive Guide

You don't need a fan to do this achievement. Apparently you can use one, but all I did was play all three of these songs on beginner vocals and the achievement unlocked. Basically, on Beginner, as long as you are making noise when the words go by, you'll get 100%. Making noise with your mouth is a lot easier than finding a fan and then propping your mic up to it.

You'll also unlock the "Iron lungs" achievement (for 25 phrase streak) while going for this one.

i used my xbox headset instead of the mike and placed it on my fan, no propping required.

Maybe, but when I use a fan I can unlock achievements while I'm doing other stuff and listening to the game's soundtrack :)

The easiest way to get this achievement is to make a setlist containing 'Ex-Girlfriend', 'Send A Little Love Token' and 'Only Happy When It Rains' and play the setlist as a vocalist on beginner difficulty. Place your microphone near a fan or air conditioner and you should automatically get 6 stars on each song. At the end of the last song you pick the achievement will unlock. BTW I am the first in the world with this achievement :)

I had a game and the fan didnt work for crap. Someone said to take the sponge out of the end of the mic and it still didnt work. I left the end off the mic completely and that didnt work. Then I saw someone said to use a noisy vaccum cleaner and it worked like a champ. Its worth a shot if your fan wont 100% a song.

Play on Beginner and put your mic in front of a fan.

Go into quickplay, select beginner difficulty and play each song one at a time ( dont make a setlist ) place your microphone beside a fan and you will get 6 stars on the songs.
