How to unlock the Iron Lungs achievement in Guitar Hero 5 - Definitive Guide
An even better idea is to set your main account on Expert Vocals and then sign in a Medium Guitar. Play "Bring the Noise 20XX" with the mic in front of a fan or the TV speakers (up loud) while you play guitar and you will get this PLUS the 1001 note streak achievement at once.

Thanks. It's a wonder how on earth people can give this one a negative vote as it kills 2 birds at once.

The easiest way to do this is to play any song on beginner vocals which contains at least 25 vocal passages and putting you mic up to a fan or air conditioner. The noise from the fan should automatically get you 100% and a 25 note streak.
Song 2 by Blur is only 2 minutes and 2 seconds and should net you the achievement quite quickly with a 30 note streak.

I got this while going for the "Chanteuse" achievement where you have to 5 star three songs with female singers. Neither achievement requires a certain difficulty, so I just played the 3 songs, and sang on Beginner.
Basically in beginner as long as you are making noise when the words go by, you'll get 100%. You'll unlock this achievement while going for the other one. I think you can get it on any of the 3 songs, though I'm not certain. It definitely unlocked while I was singing one of the 3 though.
But yeah, that's easier than finding a fan and then propping your mic up to it. At least in my opinion.

To add to the noise, just take the mike and rub it on your leg in a circular motion. That should generate enough noise to pick up for the notes to hit on Beginner.

Place your mic up to a fan and pick Only happy when it rains on beginner it gives you a 43 note streak
Play the song "Bring the Noise 20XX" on Expert Vocals and put a fan up to your mic or headset. You will get the achievement about mid-way through.
This trophy is very easy, Pick mostly any song ( just to name a song "Bring the Noise 20XX" would work ) and then place your microphone beside a fan and select expert difficulty
