I got it by about the 5th venue on easy getting at least 4-5 stars (that's 90%+) on all of the songs.

This is easier than it sounds. At the bottom of the setlist is your career score. Once it gets above 2,000,000 the achievement will unlock. I unlocked the achievement on my first playthrough of the medium difficulty, halfway through the fourth tier. Bonus song scores are not included in your career total.
