How to unlock the Same Old Song and Dance achievement in Guitar Hero Aerosmith - Definitive Guide
To unlock this Achievement, you must complete the career path at least once to beat all the setlist songs. You must also purchase all the bonus songs from the vault and beat them as well. Note that even though you played the Joe Perry Guitar Battle song during the career path, you still need to play it through its entirety from the vault to qualify for the Achievement.

I have it on good authority that you must do the songs in Career, they don't have to be in the same band.
If you do the Vault songs in Quick Play it will not count.

Well if you don't have to do it in the same band, does it have to be in the same difficulty? Because I couldn't do the guitar battle on expert, so I did it on hard and didn't get the achievement.

To get this achievement, do the following:
1) Start (or finish) a career and beat all the songs; difficulty level doesn't matter.
2) Purchase all the bonus songs with your earnings and win the Big Ten Inch Record achievement while you're at it.
3) When you're in Career mode, press the blue fret button to bring up the Vault; all your purchased songs will be there.
4) Beat all the songs in the Vault. Difficulty can't be adjusted here, so if you played the Career songs on Expert you have to beat the Vault songs on Expert too.
Note: the Joe Perry Guitar Battle plays like a regular song, so you don't have to worry about Battle Power.

If you have two save devices, like me, a HD and memory unit you can copy your save to the other save device. Then start the game on the other save device and buy all songs (around 4K money) and play them. After you can delete your save which you used to get this achievement and play on your normal save again. This way you won't have to spent money and save it for the other achievements. Hope this helps. Cheers.
After completing career, you will have well over enough to purchase the bonus songs. You will have played the whole setlist in career so all of them except the guitar battle are out of the way. Just go to the vault and play the rest of the songs.
For this achievement you have to play every song in career mode not quickplay. The easiest way to do this will be to play through the career setlist as normal. This will unlock both the "Joe Perry Guitar Battle" (when you have beaten him in tier 6) and "Kings and Queens" after the end credits. You should then have enough money to purchase the 9 songs from the vault (see Big Ten Inch Record). Then go back into your completed career and access the vault songs from the setlist by pressing the blue button on your guitar. Play all eleven songs and the achievement will unlock.
