Guitar Hero II

If you're an expert guitar player (nothing godly...I just recently god good enough to beat Freebird on Expert) I'd recommend playing Freebird on Hard. I broke 400k on my first try and unlocked the 300k and 400k achievements.

As an extra to the above for those of us who don't play on hard/expert:

The only medium song this is possible to do on is Freebird, and even then you need to do quite well (98%+ of the notes, and a good SP path).

If you follow this exactly (and FC the song), you should end up with around 440K or so. A more "lazy" path that's a bit easier (less whammying for extra SP) is:

Again, assuming a FC and doing the SP at the right times you should net around 430K, well above the achievement.

I *believe* this is the same path that was in the image I had originally linked.

Also, if you *are* a comfortable hard/expert player, your best resource is ScoreHero (www.scorehero.com), as they have lists of scores for all the songs in all GH games (so you can see which songs are possible on which difficulties, etc).

Recommendation: Monkey Wrench on Expert..not too hard to FC for decent/good guitarists.

My recommendation is X-Stream on Hard as you can get the 400,000 and 1,000 note streak fairly easily with a decent SP Path. And you do not need to FC it

if you have the money...buy the my chemical romance pack and play famous last words on expert...i easily got over 400k and i messed up badly on the solo. this song also works on medium to get a 1000 note streak. just giving another option.
