How to unlock the Joe & Steven Award achievement in Guitar Hero II - Definitive Guide

This achievement requires you and a buddy to play 500 consecutive notes counted together during a co-op song. I suggest playing a medium song, regardless of skill, that way you and your buddy can nail it without concern.

The best advice I can give for guides like this is to tell us at least one song it can be done on. (preferably several, along with lowest difficulty for each song)

The point is to find a song that the two of you can both play together well.

The song that I used to unlock the Joe & Steven Award (500 note streak in Co-op) was:
•"Surrender" as made famous by Cheap Trick (it is the first song, in the first setlist "1. Opening Licks")

The achievement CAN be unlocked with BOTH Guitar and Bass on Easy difficulty. I personally felt Bass is more difficult, as it has more notes.

Easy Bass has 442 Notes; Easy Guitar has 280 Notes; making the Total number of notes on Easy - 722 Notes.

The song is APPROXIMATELY 4 Minutes and 13 Seconds in length (4:13). The achievement WILL unlock about 3/4 of the way through the song, so you do not have to play until the end.

Remember, since this is a note streak achievement, do NOT overstrum, as you will lose the note streak. Guitar Hero II does not have a note streak counter in-game like the other games in the series, so keep that in mind as well.

I ALSO used this song to get the "100% a song in Co-op" achievement as well, since it is easy.

Same as 100 notes co-op, any song, easy/medium difficulty.
