How to unlock the Excellent Constitution achievement in Guitar Hero Live - Definitive Guide

This does not have to be done in one sitting but the on demand songs have to be consecutive. You can play songs on the free channels in between your on demand ones and it will not mess this up.

To get this you will need to use at least 18 plays(more if you don't get it on the first go). You can pick any 18 songs you want and all you need to do is place in the top five on each one.

This can probably be done on any difficulty but I would recommend playing on the highest one you feel comfortable with as you get more score on those and points are what determine your place.

Edit: Shoutout to JoeCamNet below for mentioning the fact that you can dashboard and quit out of the game if it looks like you might not get 5th place and you won't lose any progress. I assume you would need to do this before the song actually ended though so watch out. Be sure to check the intensity levels on the songs you pick! Even some of the 4 bar songs can be a little too much on the higher difficulties.

Just a headsup I picked a song I thought would be easy and was having trouble and was going to finish below fifth. I hit dashboard and quit the game, went back in and picked a different song and my progress was not affected. Pay attention to those intensity levels, folks!

Can it be all done with the same song 18 times?

so can you do like 6 songs in a row then quit and do 12 more later on in the day or does it reset once you shut your xbox off?

it will only reset if you complete an on demand song and you place below 5th. you could do a song a day if wanted to.

If you dashboard out, it uses 2 Plays instead of 1 Play?

Thumbs up for dashboarding if your run sucks. It only uses one play regardless (so when I got to the home stretch I had to buy a few plays) but it really saved my bacon.

I used Like A Stone. I was upper lv10 when I started, lv12 when I finished. It's an easy song, but if you get anything more than -2 you'll most likely drop out of the top 5.

I'm also fairly new to GHTV on Xbox One (did some on Wii U) so my guitar is not upgraded at all. In fact I'm only level 7. So this might actually be easier if you have all your upgrades, but I still recommend going higher intensity if you're comfortable with it

Does anyone know if getting paired with a rival during this (as long as you win) still allows for the achievement?

Does this have to be done in premium?

Not the premium shows but it does have to be the on demand songs that cost 1 play each.

I agree with brushed reds...as someone who gets 99 percent a lot of the time on regular it's the lower intensity songs where I finish lower down the rankings...the low intensity ones I can 100 percent and finish 6th...high intensity ones I can mess up lots and finish 1st

People may want to consider doing this early in the career. They seem to match you in a room by your level. At level 19, with 4/4 in multiplier and base note score, I got a full combo on a medium difficulty (4 intensity) song on Advanced and came in 4th place in the room. If you hold off until the end, this achievement might become much more difficult (or maybe it's the time of day).

If you're pretty good I actually recommend going for the higher intensity songs. I did Tears Don't Fall on Expert and finished in #2 with 93% of the notes hit. And I did drown on expert and got #5 with 99% notes hit. Seems like your competition is going to be less forgiving on easier songs. But that's just my two cents. Achievement was pretty easy, regardless. I recommend just shelling out the $6 for party play to do this. I definitely did. Especially after going for a plethora of other achievements with on demand songs.

It can be done on REGULAR difficulty.

Find a song in which you can easily get to the top 3 in the leaderboard. If you can do it once, you can probably do it 18 times.

Choosing the song is VITAL.

It's funny how you can 100% a song and still be like a 100K behind the player who ends up first.... like always... and then you can actually make a few mistakes in another song and still end up FIRST every time with 50K to spare!

Tried this: FAMOUS by Charli XCX - I ended up betwen the 5th and 7th place the few times I played it. The best player in the bunch had 100K more than me even though I played flawlessly. THEN I played SEX ON FIRE (by Kings of Leon), and I ended up first. I played 18 times, always finished first even though I made a few mistakes. I was always at least 50K ahead of the runner-up!

When I leveled up, I was afraid the competiton would be tougher. It wasn't. It was a consistent 18 consecutive wins.

Not sure how upgrades affect the who you're playing against... but probably not much. I played with one base note upgrade and +1 multiplier upgrade the whole time.

I don't think upgrades have any effect on who you're up against on the leaderboard.

When I had no upgrades because I wasn't at level 9, I was scoring low and finishing low on the top 10.
However when I upgraded my multiplier twice to x6, I was getting to the top 3 quite a lot and staying there because I was staying in x6 a lot.
I play on advanced difficulty normally, not good enough for Expert and Regular is too easy for me.

The players you are matched up with is so random. I played a song and I came first. Great. I play the same song again immediately and I get 7th, even when I beat my previous score. This really sucks.

My suggestion is to play Cult of Personality by Living Colour on regular difficulty. I'm terrible on regular, but I could play this song well the first time it popped up. The black and white notes are usually separated from each other in pretty large chunks. I missed notes here and there, sucked at the solo, and still came in 1st or 2nd every time.

(Online - UNOBTAINABLE DUE TO SERVER CLOSURE)

To play a song 'on demand' means to use one play token to play a specific song in the GHTV song list, meaning this trophy requires at least 18 play tokens. Play tokens can be exchanged for either gold coins which can be earned by playing songs in the 24/7 free streaming channels, or for hero coins which you can purchase using real world money.

Each time you play a song on demand there will be a real time local leaderboard to the side of the screen of you and nine other players that the game has randomly paired you with based on your shared skill level. Depending on your performance in the song at each moment compared to the other players, you will either move up or down the ranks until the final note has been played at which point the ranks for that song will be finalised based on the overall score each player achieved. To earn this trophy you need to place in the top 5 for 18 consecutive songs on demand.

I recommend that you don’t purchase the play tokens with real money but instead grind for them in the free channels. Playing the constant stream of new songs helps you figure out what the highest difficulty is that you can consistently perform well in and score more points but also what specific songs you find easy to give you an idea of what you want to be playing on demand. The good news is that you can choose to play the same song 18 times if you want and the trophy will still unlock (thanks to RaemNL for the tip) so while playing the free channels, note down any songs that you finish highly in (1st or 2nd place) with relative ease. Once you have 18 play tokens, simply choose one of these and play it 18 times. Remember that you need to finish in the top 5 each time to earn the trophy.

Even more good news is that the song only counts towards your streak if it's played to the final note. So, should you mess up one time or get paired with more skilled players and around mid song you're not confident you can make the top 5, quit the song via the pause menu where you'll be sent back to the song list and can try again without losing your streak though you will of course have wasted the play token. It's also a good idea to stock up on a few extra to allow for this possibility.

There are ways to boost your score to help push yourself into the top 5 more easily. Score upgrades can be purchased with gold coins in the store to improve, for example, the number of points you earn for hitting each note or increases to the maximum multiplier. See Specialist Shredder for more details.

There is nothing complicated about the trophy, but it is worth focusing on the notes. A huge plus is that the trophy will be counted if you play the same song 18 times in a row.

The good news is that if you still fail to get into the TOP 5, then you can exit the song through the pause menu (before the song ends, of course), you will be taken to the song selection menu, you will lose 1 “Plays”, but your streak will not be interrupted! Again, do this trophy in advance, because later, as the level increases, the opponents will become more and more difficult.

You need to do it in a row, maybe with a break, but not with a loss. If you screw up one of the songs in the middle, you need to start counting again. The same song that no one really plays saves. In 18 times you will learn all the words)))

I noticed something that it is in this regime that they don’t give us “living” people as opponents. That is, we are playing with bots, or someone’s random result, already played earlier, is simply displayed in the column. How the game selects these same “bots” is a mystery, but I think it depends on how well you play.

As I understand it, the game selects opponents for your level of pumping. So you need to do it as early as possible, because then there will be very serious rivals. In general, it’s better to focus on the trophy from the very beginning while people are still learning to play; medium difficulty is optimal, since if you play normally, you can keep 97-100%, which is enough to win in the initial stages of the game. There are also free weekends when plays are not needed to play songs on TV. This is the perfect time to go after the trophy.

It is not necessary to do everything 18 times at once. My game crashed on the 16th song, but when I entered it again, I finished playing two songs and was given the achievement.

When choosing a song, pay attention to your place in the leaderboard - the higher it is, the better) But not because you are so cool, but because few serious guys play this song. It is advisable that this is not the most mainstream performer, i.e. no SoaD, Green Day, Korn, Nickelback, etc. There are usually a lot of skilled dudes on them and there is a chance of not getting into the top five. Play a couple of songs. If everything goes well, there are no particularly fierce players, then you can proceed. Another plus of few popular songs is that there may be less than 5 people in it, which is generally great.

Joe Satriani - "Always with me, always with you" suited me perfectly
