Just play GHTV, with practice you'll start getting 5 star ratings.

To get this achievement, you don't need to 5 star 50 DIFFERENT songs. You can theoretically get it while playing the same song over and over 50 times.

my progress stopped at 92% and none of my GHTV stats are counting anymore, I've cleared my song cache 3 times....activision won't help me, can anybody provide a solution as my stars don't count nor does my top 3 standing

Each time you finish playing a song on GHTV you will be awarded with an overall star rating out of 5. Your star rating is assisted by but not entirely down to, the percentage of notes that you hit. It is mostly affected by how consistent you perform by maintaining long note streaks. For example: You might finish one song with 90% notes hit and 5 stars because you frequently maintained long note streaks, while in another song you might score 96% but only get 4 stars because you frequently lost your note streak by missing single notes or over strumming.

This should come naturally over time as it counts all 5 stars that you earn in all areas of GHTV from the free channels, premium content to the songs on demand. With over 200 available at launch and more planned for the future it shouldn’t be much of an issue to 5 star 50 of them but if you're struggling you can lower the difficulty and stay in the free channels for a few hours to get the trophy out of the way.
