Whilst you are clearing rooms you will spot a glowing purple icon on the wall.
There is a very early talent you can unlock that means when you shoot this it will open a portal and allow you to enter.
Sometimes it is a room with either giant rolling balls or flame traps.
Allow one of these to kill you then either let another player revive you or spend currency then just die again by the trap
