As you kill enemies and open chests you will collect greenish/blueish orbs that are called "Soul Essence"
When you die you get a choice where you can choose to give up, or revive yourself using these orbs, simply get killed by a strong enemy, revive yourself and get killed by the same enemy within 10 seconds for this to pop, it can be done on any enemy or level, but the further you go the stronger they are
