The trophy is glitchy, I’ve already opened more than 110 barrels and it still hasn’t dropped. The description may not match.

The description is correct, but it's still buggy. For some it drops exactly 100, for others they opened it at 300 and it fell out. I got 116.

There is a similar contract for opening barrels in the in-game achievements.
You can use it to track how many barrels have already been opened.

PS The PSN trophy is really glitchy at the moment, requiring me to open 115+ barrels.
