How to unlock the Alchemist achievement in GWENT: The Witcher Card Game - Definitive Guide

You must have a copy of a standard card to get this achievement, as well as some meteorite powder. You can easily get both through the tutorial, which you have to complete anyway to access the menu.
To transmute a card, go to the "Deck Builder" from the menu and find a standard card. It can be from any deck, just as long as you have a copy of it available (you just need one card basically). Premium cards will not work for this.
When you have one, press
to see crafting details. You will then see three options at the bottom, one of them being "transmute". This should cost at least 100 or more meteorite powder.
Select the option, and the standard card will now be animated, like a premium one. This will unlock the achievement. There are no other effects to it, just the appearance.
Thanks to Epsilon Theta for this tip: Also note that only cards you receive from kegs will count, not those that are already given from the base deck.

It might be worth adding that only standard cards you have unlocked from kegs count. None of the cards given to you that are part of the base deck can be transmuted.
