Once the DLC has been purchased rivel's trial can be found on the same screen as the challenger's door.
The map itself has many stones ranging blocking paths however the only enemy is the wolfslayer.
There are a few mini wolflord battles spread across the map however you only need to win against the boss wolfslayer for the achievement.
The battle is different from others in that instead of trying to cause damage to your opponent you must simply survive while the wolflord loses 3hp for each turn.
This can at first seem very difficult as it sends alot of attacks however the hp lost carries onto to the next battle so if you lose just keep entering the battle until the wolflord eventually falls.
EDIT: For many of the harder stone challenges on route to the wolflord I found a good guide for set ups which work every time.

The Wolflord's ability to reverse your spins was what caused me the most frustration. Thanks for the tips!

Rivel's Trial is made up mostly of a series of Stones and triggers. You will also encounter "smaller" Wolflords that you combat differently than other beasts. You don't utilize a beast of your own, instead you wait out their negative vitality ticks while eliminating any of their ability gems to avoid death. The Wolflord boss has the same mechanic, but different abilities including twist reversal and changing the countdown of the instant death to 1.
