This will not be easy, and may take way more runs for some then others. A lot of it is dependent upon skill and learning enemy patterns, but a lot of it also depends on getting lucky with your boons and enemies/minibosses. And even sometimes whether or not you get that fountain or special room in a run
Keep these things in mind as your playing to increase your chances:
-learn enemy patterns: seems obvious but knowing what your enemies gonna do will increase your chances of survival exponentially. Each time you fight an enemy/boss you’ll get better at seeing the telegraphs for their moves and being able to dodge accordingly
-Upgrade your passive boosts thru the mirror in Zagreus’s room. Darkness will upgrade talents, and keys will unlock more options for you to use. Each ability has an alternate as well, so you can mix and match which boosts you want to find the perfect set up.
-Unlock and upgrade weapons and their aspects. keys will unlock the initial weapon and after they are all unlocked, you will gain access to 3 more traits for each weapon. These traits range from slight boosts to changing the move sets of the weapon. For a more detailed guide on the aspects and how to unlock, check the achievement guide for “Infernal Arms”
-Finding/Upgrading keepsakes. Keepsakes can be actual lifesavers on runs depending on which one you use. The first nectar that you give to every character you can talk to will reward you with their keepsake. Equipping the keepsake and clearing a certain number of rooms with enemies will upgrade these permanently. Some great early games ones are Cerberus’, which increases your total health, dusa’s creates and increases a chances that pots having healing items upon being broken, and skelly’s which gives the player another death defiance at a flat health rate.
-Upgrading with the house contractor. Don’t use any gems/diamonds on decor, aiming only to put them into underworld renovation or special items. These items will do various things for your runs, including adding a chance for special pots with gold to spawn, adding fountain rooms on certain floors, allow you to change you keepsake in between floors, and many other things. These benefits not only will help your runs, but they will also allow you to gather resources quicker to upgrade all your other various things.
-Always choose to meet the shade of the floor. These will spawn as a grey circle with an “!” Sign in the center within the rewards on a door. These rooms can be actual run savers, especially from the second floor on. Eurydice will upgrade current boon rarity’s, or the following few you run into, and Patrolcus will give you a 60% damage up for a bunch of rooms, give you mass healing for a few rooms, or straight up replenish all lost death defiances. All of them are involved in prophecies too once you have enough dialogue/ give them enough nectar, which will only give you more resources to work with.
-Find a setup that works for you. With so many different weapons, aspects, and boons, it may take a while to figure out what works for you, but after several runs and trying stuff out, you’ll start to figure out what works and what doesn’t for your play style. Some boons will just work better on a different weapon than others. Personally my favorite set up in the game is using the aspect of Zeus shield, and starting with the Zeus keepsake. This forces the first thing I find to be a Zeus boon, which I then choose to add lightning strikes to my special attack. Using the
shield toss, you can decimate the entire first floor from range, and this provides a great setup to build upon. Adding in Artemis’s “Support arrow” boon or some Poseidon boons to get a chance for the Zeus/Poseidon duo boon, and even more Zeus boons is a great strategy.
-TALK. TO. EVERYONE. Talking with characters after every run will only be helpful to you, as certain unlocks are only available after a certain dialogue conversation is triggered with someone. Not to mention as they shed some light on the story and lore surrounding your father and the Underworld.
-Watch a playthrough on YouTube/boon synergy guide. If you’re really struggling you can look up some helpful ideas, or see how someone with more hours takes on certain enemies/situations. Some of the guys with hundreds of hours can finesse the mechanics/upgrades and make really tough fights look like a cakewalk. Could give you the help to beat that tricky boss fight (looking at you Theseus)
Haelian on YouTube is a good one if you need ideas, he pulls off some insane synergies/runs because he’s so knowledgeable (and extremely lucky)
Other than that, it’s gonna come down to a lot of skill, and a lot of luck. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t beat it right away because of a tough floor/boss, or you feel like your run count is getting a little high. This game is meant to be tough as nails but it gives you just enough passive upgrades to make each run a little easier. You will get better. For reference I think it took me around 25-30 attempts to get out on my switch playthrough (The elysium boss fight really just kicked the shit out of me for a real long time), but on my current Xbox playthrough I got out on my 9th run. If you follow these tips and you should finally be able to escape the realm of Hades.

I think this cheevo is bugged.. I did a lot of clear runs and it didnt popup, i guess the first clear run i did my game was on quick resume so now it wont unlock...

@CrazyNomad have you tried doing a full power reset or reinstalling? This achievement didn’t pop for me as well right away I had to do a full restart of my Xbox to get it to pop. As soon as it reset and I loaded in, I got all my achievements that I earned

Story-related and cannot be missed.
This is mostly self-explanatory. To get this trophy, you'll need to successfully escape from the Underworld and beat the final boss at the surface.
You'll have to clear all 4 biomes:

- Tartarus (see Escaped Tartarus
) - Asphodel (see Escaped Asphodel )
- Elysium (see Escaped Elysium )
- Temple of Styx
Once you've cleared the Temple of Styx and exit through the gate, you'll come out in Greece, at the surface. But before you can celebrate, you've still got one small thing left to do... defeat your father, Hades. This is the final boss fight in the game. See below for more details on the boss fight [SPOILER WARNING]:
Hades:
Hades has two phases he goes through and a fairly decent-sized repertoire of attacks. One thing that is pervasive throughout the fight and that is used as part of many attacks is that: Hades has his own version of a Cast attack. His Cast appears as flaming skulls and if they directly hit you, you will become poisoned and give you a debuff that makes you take an extra 100%+ damage. If they land anywhere else though, they become time bombs. After 5 seconds, if it hasn't been killed yet, the skull will self-detonate and a large green wave will expand outwards in a circle from the center that will damage you if you don't dodge through it.
In Phase 1, Hades only has 2 attacks, but they are the main attacks throughout the entire boss fight. The first is a Spin Attack-type of move where he sprints towards you and whirls his weapon around him in a circular move. The second is a Lunge, wherein he'll chuck two skull Casts to the side before dashing towards you to hit you. Aside from these attacks, Hades will also summon mobs as reinforcements when he reaches 50% health, and then again at 20% health.
Once you've killed him, he'll drop down on one knee but, instead of dying, he regenerates back to full health, and this begins Phase 2. YEP, you have to kill him TWICE! Not a happy discovery, right? In this Phase, he has a couple more combo variations of the first two attacks, but there are 2 completely new attacks that become the main focus. The first one is a Summoning Vases ability where large green vase-like structures spawn all over the map. As soon as they're hit by anything, they burst and a pool of green liquid comes out with hands sticking out of it. If you're standing in the vicinity of the green pool, it will stun you in place for a few moments. The second and more problematic new attack is his Laser Attack. He stops in place and three laser beams appear, one in each direction, and he holds them for a few seconds. The lower his health, the higher the number of laser beams appears. If you're caught in the beam, it acts almost like a micro-stun and attempts to bring you in closer bit by bit, so make sure you break through as quickly as possible and run and hide behind one of the rocks scattered around. These will protect you from the lasers.
Then just keep going until he dies for the second (and, thankfully, final) time.

TIPS:
- A Boon I love love love for this (I've mentioned this elsewhere as it's good for the entire game, but its especially good here) is the Athena and Demeter Duo Boon "Stubborn Roots", which regens 1 Health every 0.8 seconds after you've used your Stubborn Defiance/Death Defiance (and thus have no backup lives). This is probably one of the best Boons in the game (especially for survivability) until you've gotten to a point where you aren't dying anymore. Other great Boons for this fight are: Dionysus' Festive Fog Cast (doubly so when paired with the Dionysus/Demeter Duo Boon "Ice Wine" which adds Chill), Ares' Blade Rift Cast when it has the extra tracking Boon too. Certain Gods have Calls that are great "Oh Shit" moments, such as Athena, Poseidon, as they have Invulnerability.
- On the other side however, if you're using Athena's Deflect Boons and also using the Shield weapon, be careful not to deflect the skull Casts because it doesn't go back to Hades like any other attack in the game does. Instead, you just make the Cast bounce back and land near him. Meaning the bomb is still going to go off anyways, whereas you could have just Blocked it and it would just disappear.
- In terms of weapons... You're going to have to learn to beat him with each weapon, but just so you know, at least for the beginning, he is much easier to beat with the Shield or Bow, with the Shield being by far the easiest. If you're using the shield, make sure you hold up the Block when he throws out his skull Cast, because doing that stops it from poisoning you AND stops it from spawning on the map, meaning no time bomb/wave either.
- Let him come to you, dodge out of the attack, and then wail on him until he begins his next move, then quickly dodge out. Doing this is much better and safer than going on the offensive yourself and running to him because you might not have enough time to dodge out. (Note: All of this advice here is mainly just for the first time or first few times you fight him. Once you've beat him a few times, you'll know what to do and what approach is best for you. Once I got comfortable enough with the fight, I knew when I could go all out and when to hold back.)
- As soon as the vases spawn, try to break the ones near you from a distance, or wherever you're planning to go and stand for your next attack, so you don't need to worry about getting stunned in the worst possible time.
Also, it's very easy to tell when Hades will use his lasers. When it comes to Hades, he really telegraphs his next move. You can pretty much know exactly what he's going to do next several seconds in advance because each one has its own unique movements, so take advantage of that. For the lasers, if you're using the Shield, you can just block them. Otherwise, run and duck behind a rock early rather than risk it for one extra hit on him. He can take you from full health to zero fairly quickly if you get too cocky or if your dodge/etc timing is really off.
